As unbelievable as that sounds, Boston does have a penchant for trading young talent for past-their-prime veterans.

But given the Bruins cap situation, there's no way that rumor has any legs.

An overwhelming combined amount of suck between the Flames and Canucks in the past two weeks. Flames get a chance tomorrow to end their streak, but if they don't, one of the teams is guaranteed to end the streak since they play each other on Saturday.

Hondaracer 12-18-2014 09:31 AM

Nucks have regressed back to last year. If they can't come up with a new overall strategy we will miss the playoffs.

Omg Benning so good! Slike nahh we have the same personal and everything balances in the end, when you don't have the right players you can't make it work

"The Sedins aren't the problem" except for when they are the problem.

68style 12-18-2014 09:44 AM

Yah the Sedins have disappeared in a big way the last 5-6 games... you can feel the tangible depressing effect it has on the team when they're not producing...

Hondaracer 12-18-2014 09:52 AM

I could see running with Lack in the near future of Miller continues to shit the bed in a big way when we can't score. If Eddy can show he's pretty capable of only allowing 1-2 goals early on in games, how can you not go to him when we can't score? Going down 2-3 goals before the 3rd is an absolute death sentence for this team.

InvisibleSoul 12-18-2014 10:05 AM

Earlier this year, when the Canucks were down one or even two goals, there was genuine hope that they would be able to come back and win, and they did, on numerous occasions. That feeling has disappeared.

Well shit. I totally forgot about yesterday's game.

LoL, I did too... and it was like the ONE time I could have watched the whole game without being interrupted. Kid was being looked after by the grandparents, and wife was working OT... but I completely forgot about it.

Your Budweiser goal light certainly wouldn't have reminded you

And... just to rub salt into the wound, the Leafs are trending in the exact opposite direction and have won their last six games, and are now above both the Flames and Canucks in the standings. :okay:

Bouncing Bettys 12-18-2014 12:26 PM

^tonight they face the worst team in the league with a 6-game losing streak so I expect a Leafs loss. This team has yet to show it can be trusted.

Not really racist! 12-18-2014 01:23 PM

Pretty obvious IMO why Boston is trying to trade players, not much cap space and a boatload of RFA/UFA (half the team) that they won't be able to re-sign after their contracts expire this year

I doubt they take a 4.5m Burrows, and I'd pay to see for is reaction when he's asked to waive for Boston of all teams. Higgins seems like a potential fit, and we'd probably be asking for a D coming back

It is DREGER though "Boston looking for a top 6/9 forward"

to think a few weeks ago randy carlyle was this close to losing his job :fuckthatshit:

Derek_N84 12-18-2014 05:31 PM

Man the energy at Roger's last night was horrible, the second period just sucked the life out of the crowd (minus the cheer for Eddie Lack on the break away save, that was awesome!). I enjoyed the lobster roll though :D

Tegra_Devil 12-18-2014 06:01 PM

edmonton, calgary, vancouver....all making west canada look bad right now...that being said, edmonton will always be bad, so i dont expect much improvement this year from them.

canucks and flames sucking before a good second half run? :accepted:

If the whole team can play well for 60 minutes, maybe they can win a game. Hansen's post game comments after the loss to the Stars:

Frustration definitely came out in Jannik Hansen’s post game comments. “This is was our best game, if you want to call a loss a best game, and from the game with New York, it was a couple of steps in the right direction but still nothing to show for it,” said the winger. “I’d rather play like sh*t and win games, but that’s not the way it’s going right now. We fell off in the second and we’re back to the old it’s 60 minutes of hockey. Not good enough. Zero goals. If we want to start taking bits and pieces out of games, we can’t nit-pick. It’s a 60-minute game and if you don’t play well for 60 minutes, you don’t win”

Giroux biting Erik Gudbranson's jersey :lol :derp: Giroux's a funny guy.. grabbing the police officer, wiping his snot on the ref and now biting Gudbrandsons jersey

Hey, breaking other teams/players' streaks - that's a page out of the Canucks book!
