One of the front runners for Calder for sure. Surprised that Drouin has seen such limited time in a top 6 capacity.

68style 12-27-2014 11:40 PM

Who doesn't look good against the Oilers though?

Tegra_Devil 12-28-2014 07:07 AM

Ekblad, forsberg, gaudreau. Unless something significantly changes. I see it as a run between forsberg or gaudreau.

68style 12-28-2014 08:51 AM

Not really hockey related but holy shit did you guys see Harbaugh is going to get $8 million a year to coach fucking college kids at Stanford??? A school paying someone $8 mill to coach!! Damn America.... I can't imagine a NHL coach ever getting that let alone collegiate level. Yes I realize how big college football/basketball is but it's ridiculous nonetheless.

That's very common in college football.. The teams make millions and millions of dollars for the collage a year and remember the players/students don't get paid anything just free schooling.

Hondaracer 12-28-2014 10:01 AM

"Just" free schooling

Most of the high priced schools the best athletes play for can run 150k+ for a BA

Lots of hockey writers have forsberg as the front runner but what Ekblad is doing in unreal. Could be the best 18 year old d man the NHL has seen.

Johnny Hockey should make things interesting. Kid has such good puck luck.

pastarocket 12-28-2014 06:28 PM

Miller was lucky on that last Anaheim shot. -crossbar saved the day.

pastarocket 12-28-2014 06:34 PM

Fuuuuuuuu!

Most likely Ekblad or Forsberg. What Ekblad is doing is a lot tougher than Forsberg. If Forsberg loosens up on his production then it's Ekblad's to lose imo

He already coached at Stanford, he's going to Michigan now.

The best part is that his stubborn ass still wears $8 khakis from Walmart

Matt Fraser claimed by the oilers and...

Dany Heatley is waived.

https://twitter.com/TSNBobMcKenzie/s...12827288559616

I wonder what happened to Paajarvi.

6o4__boi 12-29-2014 10:22 AM

damn...Heatley already burnt out at 33
can't even produce offence for shit
that 1M cap hit looks enticing but i'd be surprised if an NHL team takes the risk

murd0c 12-29-2014 10:27 AM

he hasn't been the same player since his accident. Even tho he's burnt out its still impressive he came back from everything he went through and didn't turn to the bottle or drugs

6o4__boi 12-29-2014 10:32 AM

the one in 03?
he had like 2 50 goal seasons after and averaged at 40 for a while

don't think its the accident...iuno what it is but it just seems like he doesn't wanna play anymore.

he did but I think in the long run that effected his ability and longevity

Jmac 12-29-2014 12:46 PM

Oilers claim Fraser instead of Roy :fulloffuck:

68style 12-29-2014 12:51 PM

Maybe cuz the last thing the Oilers need is a small, skilled, soft, no defence, "me first" forward?

Not really racist! 12-29-2014 01:55 PM

more like a few shoulder injuries that affected his goal scoring coupled with losing a step and a poor work ethic since he already got a fat contract and accomplished quite a bit

no more motivation
