JB was on team1040 last night
He's apparently looking to move marskrtrom or lack

highfive 01-22-2015 03:35 PM

Somebody reported he's looking to stock up on picks. Preferably 2nd rounders. He sees a lot of good player that can be dropped down to there.

I could see them moving Lack before Markstrom in a second.

he's still got 2 more years bruh

they dont think they can resign markstrom so either him or lack is prob going since markstrom doesnt want to be in the AHL

Obsideon 01-22-2015 07:54 PM

I think Lack would fetch a better return in the market.
Markstrom, with the right goalie coaching should be able to step up, he's also 3 years younger. So when Miller's contract runs out he would be just a tad younger than Lack is now.

Thats the whole point on getting rid of Lack since I'm sure he will resign being a backup knowing Miller only have two years left on his contract

Tim Budong 01-22-2015 09:25 PM

LOL

crosbys out

Isn't that a given? Considering we signed Miller to a three year contract...

yes and we signed luongo for how many years... so.....

just sayin' when he's good he's good..when he's bad he's terrible

thought we're trying to get younger

Nabatron 01-23-2015 08:22 AM

Cody Franson is most likely going on the trading block. I wouldnt mind canucks trying to go after him. Big dman who can put up points but defense is questionable. He is a ufa at the end of the season hoping we can shed some contracts like webers and sbisas to try and resign him. Thats if JB goes after him but would be tuff since we have nothing to trade unless they want kassian...

K, but why would the Nucks even bother signing another starting goalie if they were intending to stick with Lack?

Who did the Nucks have when they signed Luongo to an extension?

sounds a lot like Luongo to me :troll:

Considering Miller is out 6 million dollar man I highly doubt we see a young and inexperienced Lack/Markstrom duo so it's a given either Lack or Markstrom gots to go.

With the goalie drama we've seen the past few years...who knows whats gonna happen :fuckthatshit:

68style 01-23-2015 09:14 AM

Markstrom has done absolutely nothing at the NHL level... In fact he's done worse than nothing, he was terrible. I don't care what his numbers are like in the AHL, AHL shooters =/= NHL shooters... Not even close.

His trade value is practically zero.

That is correct but look at the situation he was in when he was on Florida and then the complete shit show he came to last year. I think him being Millers backup would be great for him and hopefully in two years we will finally show the kind of potential he has at a NHL level.

What's your opinion of the league letting fans vote for any random player to be on the All Star team roster? Latvian fans stuffed the online ballot box for Girgensons.

Who???? I admire Latvians for supporting their countryman, but come on!

Eddie Lack is here to stay. The fans and media love him. He wants to stay in Vancouver.

Markstrom on the other hand is new and will more likely want to be starting sooner than later. I can see Lack understanding his role and taking over the start position after Miller is gone.

murd0c 01-23-2015 12:11 PM

but Lack doesn't want to be the backup for the next 2 1/2 years and if we can get some good prospects for Lack which we need he would be better to give up for our future as well

Buffalo Sabres' Zemgus Girgensons looking forward to 2015 All-Star weekend - 2015 NHL All-Star Weekend

The Latvians are hockey's most hardcore fans. If only everyone showed as much enthusiasm for the game as they do.

Same thing could be said for Luongo and Schneider... "here to stay, fans and media love(d) them. Both want(ed) to stay in Vancouver"

Hindsight is 20/20 but you make a great point about Markstrom. However with so little starting goaltender jobs both will have to suck it up and be backups for a while...

Fans and media dont run the team. If JB can make the trade on Lack then he will do it. If he can trade Lack for something that will benefit the team then I can see if happening just the same with Kassian and the rest of them.

cuz Lack hasn't proven himself that he can be a starter
but if he can..then miller would make a great backup

yeah....I don't think I can go through another Luongo/Schneider, Schneider/Luongo, Luongo/Lack, Lack/Luongo "who's the starter" drama

Who knew Vancouver would become a goalie factory...makes up for the shitty overall drafting over the years I guess :lawl:

Tegra_Devil 01-23-2015 12:40 PM

johnny hockey replaces Crosby at the allstar game.....seems like a fair trade :toot:
