Turned the game off when 5-2 to go read with my son and put him to bed. Come back and we're in a shootout, I'm like wtf?

Yzerman pulled off the Purcell-Gagner trade in the middle of the night, too.
One can only conclude that he's some sort of sentient undead creature, possibly a vampire.
Also surprised he didn't trade Ohlund for Phaneuf.

Was at the game tonight and noticed the atmosphere at the game was actually pretty good! Haven't seen game with fans that into it...was pretty shocked to see the lower bowl legit empty as fuck! Watching the game live you can really notice players tendencies and how garbage NHL reffing actually is. That non call ok Matthias when his stick got slashed in prime scoring area and his stick bro to the life of me I have no idea how the ref could miss that! Also with vey that guy is legit terrible i have said this before and I'll say it again he should not be playing centre or at all he should be in the AHL or somewhere else... Playing against a heavy team like the blues you could really tell he was out matched by the big boys. He was getting killed in the circle and getting bumped off the puck like nobodies business. Matthias should have played centre on that line instead of vey but knowing WD he loves his little bitch vey!

I really wish someone would talk to the twins about how to kill penalties and how to play defense. Of the goals that STL scored tonight, a few of them happened with the twins on the ice and it was due to poor decisions from them that led to the STL PPG. Even on their best nights, the twins are slow and give up on the play. On the STL PPG, the twins went too deep into the STL which led to an odd man rush coming back. Henrik came all the way back only to stop skating and coast into the front of his own net and never ended up in a position to take away the back door pass which led to the easy tap in goal.
This isn't the first time this season yet WD continues to play them on the PK.
Also, again in the dying minutes of the third period. The twins looked slow and out of energy yet were on the ice.
I can't wait to see Richardson or Burrows back from IR which will force WD to take Vey/Kassian out of the lineup. Besides the bruhaha that led to his shiner, i didn't really notice Kassian out there and Vey was noticeable but for some of the wrong reasons.
Lastly, yes the officiating has been brutal these last few years and this year appears to be the worst, but part of it is also the canucks are forcing players to play beyond their norm due to players lost due to injury.

I don't believe Kassian should come out! As for vey that guy needs to be on Utica or shipped out of town...WD had some questionable tactics if you can say that I mean when blues coming back in the turd he should have used his timeout and regroup the team. When it was 5-4 he did shit to settle the team down and change the momentum. If canucks lost this game I would have blamed lack and WD but glad they didn't conple collapse. Man some of those goals on lack were legit muffins shot at him...

Forgot to put the reason for keeping Kassian with the sedins is that makes him play more offence then defense, he can protect the sedins when need be, makes the sedins play bigger and tougher, and over all it seems to me kass game has improved while playing with them I guess due to more ice time and less defensive responsibilities

Anybody see the kings vs jets? Looked like a hell of a game!
I wonder the Canucks would fare if they paired with either one in the past season lol

lol they're gonna be stacked in the coming years
Duclair, Domi...Eichel/McDavid/Hanifin + the ridiculous amount of picks they have stocked up.
By the time they finish rebuilding and win a cup the Oilers will still be rebuilding |

-latest TSN trade deadline updates:
@GMillerTSN: As of now, Detroit has decided that the asking price for Phaneuf is too high. Lines of communication are still open.

Zidlicky to Wings for 3rd rounder (2016) unless they make it to the finals then it becomes a 2nd rounder.
This all but kills the Phaneuf to Wings report. Good job Nonis |
