Knowing Vancouver's track record against shitty teams, i'd place my bets on Toronto :troll:

Anyway, the early start won't matter.

I'm 100% confident that the guys will be ready to lay a beatdown on the Maple Laughs.

Place your bets on Vancouver on Playnow.com for that game. :lawl:

Did you even watch the NJ, Sabres or Arizona games brah?

Toronto has a reason to tank because they wanna improve their odds to get the first pick to draft McDavid. It's a shitty team with the incentive to lose games. It's the T.O. Way to rebuild.

permaban this guy if we lose on saturday

AzNightmare 03-10-2015 08:10 PM

You'd almost think Canucks are just being trolls and making it difficult for teams to tank for McDavid.

I really wished that was the real reason...

6o4__boi 03-11-2015 10:15 AM

That's totally it.

I bet there's a big banner in the dressing room that says "Never let em take McDavid." or "They want a tank war, they got a tank war!"

I'm gonna bet against the Canucks on Sat lol. You can almost guarantee they'll bring their D-game when they play against cellar dwellers. I'm actually tempted to go for Bernier getting a shutout or just allowing one goal :lawl:

Kadri suspended another 2 games for disciplinary issues.

On 1040 this morning during the "Tell me I'm wrong" segment, someone mentioned trading Kassian for Kadri in the summer.

My first thought was "Oh hell no" since Kassian has been pretty good with the Sedins and has been playing well. But after some reflection, this might not be that bad of thing.

Spoon 03-11-2015 11:47 AM

Kassian's got a better contract. One year extra and lower cap. Kadri's likely getting a 5+ million dollar contract soon, doubt that'll ever work with our cap. Besides, isn't he already singled out as part of T.O's new core?

Liquid_o2 03-11-2015 12:24 PM

I'd rather have Kassian than Kadri. Even though Kassian has been hit and miss so far in his career, I feel that he could have a higher ceiling in the long run.

6o4__boi 03-11-2015 12:29 PM

yeah i'm not the biggest Kassian fan around but i'd pick him over Kadri
the last thing the Canucks need is another soft player
watch Kadri will play like shit the moment he gets his big contract

Not necessarily. There's a large contingent of Leaf Fans (not me) who feel Nylander has more upside (supposedly better skating) and is better at 18 than Kadri was. It's hard to compare Kassian to Kadri because power forwards have a wonky development curve. Okposo is an example because he started emerging 2 years ago. A lot of people are underestimating Kadri in this thread as he has the best corsi/fenwick for numbers on a team that has mediocre advanced stats.

Not really racist! 03-11-2015 02:35 PM

- It was a real good game
- Yeah like i thought we had a good period
- Yeah i don't know, but yeah
- Yeah like i thought we played a real good game
- Yeah and they're a real good team
- He's a _____ player. Like he's a really ______ player
- Yeah i thought we could've played better
- That line was real good
- Yeah we played hard.
- Yeah we got lots of guys playing hard
- We've got lots of tough games ahead of us. Like lots of tough games.

If anything kassian for Oshie. Blue will give tarasenko the money he wants...

Sat a few row up from the Oshie family and friends few weeks ago. Maybe... He wants to play close to home.

punkwax 03-11-2015 05:14 PM

Kassian for Oshie...

Anyways, i think the canucks management have their eyes on this guy at the draft

Eliteprospects.com - Mathew Barzal

murd0c 03-11-2015 05:48 PM

why do you think the Canucks are looking at him?

6o4__boi 03-11-2015 06:14 PM

Barzal is projected to be a top 10 pick. At some point early in the season he was top 5.

Benning scouted him a lot this season...it'd be interesting if the Canucks will be willing to trade up at the draft if he's available.

sekin67835 03-11-2015 06:20 PM

what henrik thinks about kassian

Henrik Sedin: Kassian makes twins better - Audio - TSN

murd0c 03-11-2015 06:23 PM

Whats he supposed to say? He's the captain and a team player, if he thought otherwise he would never say that because he's classy and respectful.

Obsideon 03-11-2015 06:29 PM

But what he says does make sense though. The twins have always needed a physical player on their line to flourish.

sekin67835 03-11-2015 06:57 PM

that flames comeback

Tegra_Devil 03-11-2015 08:38 PM

Flames aren't the 28th place bottom dweller that everyone thought they would be.

spoon.ek9 03-11-2015 08:48 PM

yes, you've mentioned that several times already this season :p

the canucks aren't as shitty as people pegged them to be either but you don't see us trumpeting that every time there's a chance to

no, you guys just go back and forth on whether to blow up the team or not every second week

sekin67835 03-11-2015 09:28 PM

The fact was that even the shitty canucks last season wrecked the flames. No one would be able to predict that the flames are OP this year
