Sam Gagner for Teddy Prucell

murd0c 06-29-2014 06:00 PM

Thats a great deal for TB

pastarocket 06-29-2014 06:10 PM

TB just got a good upgrade on their offence. Good trade Yzerman.

sonick 06-29-2014 06:34 PM

Gagner to Phoenix aka Arizona now, and blowjob crombeen for picks

The Oilers got winger Teddy Purcell from the Lightning in exchange for centre Gagner. The Lightning then flipped him to the Coyotes along with tough guy B.J. Crombeen for a sixth-round pick.
Oilers trade F Gagner to Lightning; Gagner then sent to Coyotes

Wow.

Also...

I can think of no more appropriate player for Vancouver than Ryan Miller.

PiuYi 06-29-2014 07:36 PM

fckk please do not sign ryan miller....

Ludepower 06-29-2014 07:49 PM

We do not need any more controversial players on our team.
Miller has few years remaining to win the cup.
Canucks are in a rebuild and wont offer him that.

trancehead 06-29-2014 07:54 PM

haha great cap dump by Stevie Y
had no interest in any of those players

Teddy Purcell: hes huge but he registered 13 hits last season

Hondaracer 06-29-2014 08:37 PM

All goalies are fucking weirdos but Miller seems like he's a complete head case..lost confidence last year with STL and will probably get fucking lit up in Van.. dont see it working out

AzNightmare 06-29-2014 09:39 PM

I'm pretty content with what we have now...
Is it just because we need a veteran G to guide Lack?

Mike Oxbig 06-29-2014 09:50 PM

:derp: McCann is Bergeron V2.0 & speculations are swirling we are interested in Myers V2.0 Chara

I agree, it must be the Buffalo connection with Jim Benning.

murd0c 06-29-2014 10:46 PM

at least Miller is interested in playing here which has been rare in the past couple of years of Gillis being gm

You could argue that Hamhuis and Garrison, both well sought-after UFA's when available, chose to come here even at a discount. I don't think it's as bad as you say it was with respect to players not wanting to come here.

If anything, it's the press/pressure/travel schedule/fishbowl that Vancouver is that turns players off from coming here. Not the now-fired GM.

Ch28 06-29-2014 11:26 PM

So the Canucks have 2 hotel rooms booked right now. One of them is confirmed for Ryan Miller (which explains Jay Durant's tweet earlier today), and the other is unknown at the moment.

Could it be Jarome Iginla? Linden and Iginla always had a great amount of respect for each other. Let the speculation begin!

willystyle 06-29-2014 11:42 PM

Difficult for me to believe Iginla would want to finish his career here.

Yeah you didn't lose anything besides a successful powerplay, a good partner for Edler and your 90+ point season(s) Henrik :lawl:

Would you have also given the contract Erhoff was seeking from Buffalo? Cause that turned out well....

Where did u see this? 2 rooms? Lol

Don't get what's with ppl in the Boston v2.0

IMO. The model is you run 4 good lines, not 3 good lines and a line with Tanner glass. And you have 3 decent pairings on defence where your bottom pair can at least play. Then you have to have a solid goalie that's not going to brain fart on you.

Look at the kings this year and 2 years ago, Chicago and Boston. They all play this hard checking 4 line team game. Bickell was a beast last year. Chicago was 1 game from cup finals too. Same goes for Boston.

We are too focused on Boston's tough nasty like Marchand shit. I still remember that series, Boston would hit you and check you on every opportunity they get.

Canucks need that. That tough I'm going to check you line after line hockey.

jeedee 06-30-2014 04:07 AM

CC: ch28 and the hotel room thing

@GlobalDurant
Ryan Miller and his wife spotted getting off an L.A. Flight at YVR this afternoon. #goalieofthefuture? #canucks

Ehrhoff wasn't bought out for his poor play or not being worth his contract if that's what you're trying to say...

He was bought out because if he retired before his contract ended; Buffalo would be penalized (just like Luongo retiring early; Canucks would also get penalized)

It was Buffalo's last opportunity to use their buy out and to avoid being penalized.

UFO 06-30-2014 05:45 AM

A guy like ehrhoff does not and should not be getting 10 year contracts in the first place. 10/10 times I would let him go with that contract even IF he was the guy holding the Canucks pp together and the sole cause of Edler's strong play

spoon.ek9 06-30-2014 08:43 AM

I think we've all seen how lost Edler has been without Ehrhoff and especially without Salo.
