So if Canucks lose today and the Jets win, are the chances of making the playoffs still 98.5%? Can the panic button be pressed then? Lol. |

National Hockey League Playoff Chances - Sports Club Stats Worst case is LA wins in regulation. Our playoff chances drop 2.4%. Worst case is Winnipeg wins OT/SO. Our playoff chances drop 0.9%. So after tonight, the worst case scenario would be the Canucks are still 95.2% likely to make the playoffs. Doesn't seem like panic mode needs to be activated. |
We have to be able to at least beat one of Arizona or Edmonton. I know we suck against bottom feeders but cmon. |
Anaheim's chances of winning the cup is 3.1% and Vancouver is 2.4%? :ahwow: |
Lol waaaat...makes sense to a certain extent. if LA can make it to the dance I'd pick em over the Ducks any day. Ok I'll keep my finger over the button just in case. if Canucks could beat LA in regulation today I'd be so happy. Is Richardson and Kass ready to go yet? I can't stand watching Vey any more...I think I'd rather see McMillan at this point. |
Today's game vs. LA is the biggest game of the season in terms of the playoff implications. This team absolutely needs a strong first period. They gotta swarm the Kings and make life miserable for Quickie. Similar to the way the Jets played us last game especially in the first period. Shots, and more shots on net. Put some traffic in front of Quick so that he cannot see the puck. Play with a greater sense of urgency. Win more faceoffs and finish your checks hard! Get the first goal and build from there. Make smarter line changes to avoid giving odd man rushes to the Kings. Is that asking for too much from this team?? Step up your game guys! Turn those Kings into Queens today! :gun: -hoping that the Sedins step up their game big time tonight to lead by example: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...1ede12fd46.jpg |

Tampa Bay has 104 points in 80 games. But it says Anaheim only has 3.1% chance of winning the cup, while it says Tampa Bay has 13.7% chance. |
% isn't just tied to the number of points they have. Numbers seem pretty good accurate to me if you take a look at the teams Tampas got to go against until the finals vs Anaheim. Then you look at the number of 1 goal games Anaheim has played in vs Tampa, goal differentials, ROWs, etc etc |

You have to factor in the variables like what radioman mentioned for example. |
as well playing on the east it will be that much easier to get through since the teams in the west are a lot stronger. |
yeah...i wish someone could send a note to the boys to tell em to go balls to the walls all game (or at the start at least) or for fuck's sakes at least score first. i think whoever scores first tonight wins. Canucks can't keep having these retarded first 10 mins where no one knows how to play hockey (or fucking skate for that matter) |

That's right. Let the boys know. Cause some of these NHL teams just love to start from behind. :rukidding: |
I like to finish from behind.. :ifyouknow: |
I love it when the boys finish from behind waitwot |
Anyone ever watch games in Vegas? Good place to see the nucks here? |

Playoff hope... Sigh. dL |
:rukidding: |
Where's the push back with this team?? You can't let those Kings forwards camp out in front of Eddie like that! Put their asses on the ice! :swear: |
Looking better than the 1st but it looks like Quick is on point tonight. |
Listening to the game thru radio, it seems like Quick is currently on god mode right now? |
Quick is playing awesome but the Canucks are not getting enough quality pucks to the net and that miss by Weber was huge |
