Miller doesn't look close to playoff form. Unless Lack shits the bed for a few games, there's no reason Willie D should split the games between two goaltenders. I say Lack is starting, and it's up to him to lose that job.

Yup

Been saying that for awhile now. Miller is just way too inconsistent to be a starting playoff goaltender. Look at what happened last season with St. Louis :heckno:

For some reason, I feel like not playing for two months has to do something with not looking close to playoff form.

Just a gut feeling tho.

I made that comment because the commentators suggested the possibility of splitting the games between two goaltenders.

RiceIntegraRS 04-11-2015 07:57 PM

it doesnt matter what the reason is. If Miller isnt in playoff form then he shouldnt play, i dont wanna see the Canucks piss away games in the playoffs to see if hes not 100%. Good thing about Lack is that if he has a bad game, he usually bounces back with a great performance

Nah, that would only apply if he was playing lights out ...but since it's 5-3 Oil right now, it's not even a remote issue.

DAMNIT!!! Missed Gino's tribute?!?!!?

Miller looked slow in getting up to his goalie stance tonight after getting down low to make saves. Is that knee holding up? :heckno:

He needs more practice for sure. I didn't expect much from him after not playing for 7 weeks.

XplicitLuder 04-11-2015 08:53 PM

hasnt every game been like that ^ lol its scary how many we give to oilers :heckno:

Basically on par with last year. Sid was the only guy to get over 90.
Had he not had injuries this year it might have been a repeat.

Not really racist! 04-11-2015 09:00 PM

It's the parity of today's NHL. Goaltenders are playing better. Coaches are showing their teams how to play better on the PK.

That means fewer points from players, especially the power play points.

The league stats on penalty kill show 23 teams with more than 80% on the PK. (bold numbers below)

Well, the refs have also swallowed their whistles, especially on obstruction. '11-'12, '12-'13, '13-'14, and now, lowest of all, '14-'15 have had fewer power plays awarded than the dead puck era.
