I think thats Smyl being a nice guy to Virtanen since he knows he's done it a number of times unlike the other rookies.

Their interests in Miller and Iginla don't make any sense at all.
And I'm pretty sure Iginla's looking to win a championship, hence him bouncing between Pens and Bruins.
Maybe he can pull a "Hossa" and get it on his 3rd try, but that's not going to happen if Vancouver is his destination.

Let's be real here: we all know the Canucks aren't good enough to compete against the Kings, Hawks, Blues etc, are not a legit contender for the cup and aren't even close to making the playoffs (at the moment with the current roster).

But yeah its not like he's going to say "the cup is ours next season!" :lol

Kesler is the new team captain. We traded out 6th for luongo. Traded 2nd for ehrhoff.

Mike gillis rehired as supreme commander of Canucks entertainment and Canucks hospitality division aka sweaty meatballs co.

Kesler traded to the Ducks for Bonino, Sbisa 1st round pick (McCann)

Garrison, Jeff Costello and 7th Rounder traded to Lightning for 50th Overall PIck then we traded that pick for Linden Vey from the Kings

We acquired Dorsett from rangers for a 3rd round pick.

We drafted Jake Virtanen with our 6th overall pick

cant believe it but i agree with u. If we can sign Brad Richards and some other bought out players for cheap and then trade them away at trade deadline, we can get some prospects and picks back in return. Unless Benning believes this team is still a playoff team which i highly doubt
