I've got the week off.. maybe I'll make my way over to the saddledome too lol. Could be fun or horrific, who knows.
Don't think you can get tix to saddledome unless scalper. I thought about it. Fly there tomorrow and crash at buddies place. Watch game then come back in time for game5
If he did he would not be the first, Eric Lindros is one guy that comes to mind in the NHL also Steve Francis with the Grizzlies, John Elway in the NFL and I'm sure there are a bunch more.
McDavid isn't stupid, his parents aren't stupid they've told him to embrace wherever he goes and don't be that guy.
not directing this entirely at you quasi, but just in general:
it actually may be stupid not to boycott edmonton for McJesus. Edmonton has obviously shown how mis managed they are. The likes of Souray revealing about how poorly staff dealt with his injury situation. And then you have the travesty that is Edmonton itself (Pronger and Heatley obviously did not want to live there)
Him and his parent's are concerned with his career. Staying the course and just letting a shit hole draft you is quite stupid id say. Kind of like going to Arizona (which is the asshole of the league right now).
It's not self centered. Or egotistic. He and his family are looking out for himself. Which is what all the franchises are doing-- looking after themselves. Its akin to not asking for proper working conditions.
(this is like calling players GREEDY when they are holding out due to contract negotiations. Those people have neeed a dose of business reality)
for his career trajectory, he has enough PR pull and hype to be able to pull a Lindros. I hope he does go for it. It should be a nice wake the fuck up slap to Deadmonton's brass
long story short: fuck Edmonton. Calgary got their shit together quicker with no trace of 3 no1 CONSECUTIVE draft pics. Read that again, THREE CONSECUTIVE FIRST OVERALL PICKS. Just how much are the Edmonton brass jerking off the NHL execs?

Welp...at least someone is excited to go to a shitty organization unlike McCrybaby
]
ud cry too if u were going to edmonton to start your professional career, sharing spot light with 3 other 1st overall picks and a couple of elite prospects. Also, the management might stunt his development not reaching full potential
Well... It was just percentages those 3 years in a row man, no jerking off of brass.
I'm sure the NHL itself is disappointed, sending potentially their most marketable player since Crosby to a dead end city... I don't think there's any conspiracy here.
RNH is not gonna settle for #2 center going 1st OA. He was on fire at the end of the season before his injury and was a promising future Oilers captain... but since oilers has the #1 pick, i wonder what D oilers can fetch for RNH?

I would like to think any organization likes to keep their integrity, but when it comes to money, the unbendable bends.
