All that wear and tear is finally taking its toll on Bieksa. He's always been prone to making boneheaded plays, but it seems as if his physicality is now on the decline.
Flames-Ducks will be an exciting series - both teams play with heart and grit.

Torts is wrong in the sense that the core group is not stale.
He is right though, the team was getting old and needed an injection of youth.
Problem is that he refused to play the youth, and the Nucks had no youth to inject.
Now you bring in WD, and he is doing the same thing. Playing young guys that have no place playing in the NHL at the current time.
Youth that can play are either sitting up in the press box or playing down in the minors.
This is WD's first year with the Nucks and he needs time to know his players, but for fuck sakes. He's had 9 months to know his players and he plays Vey and McMillan?
Bieska is injured. He took a hit early in the game that injured one of his legs. He is done. Sbisa $3.4M

The younger and faster Flames exposed our team's weaknesses.
Our veteran core is not physical enough, and not fast enough, to deal with younger teams.
We can't score shit. -No sustained pressure in the Calgary zone all night.
It's time for Benning to blow up the core. A full rebuild. Trade the Sedins while they still have market value. Get ride of Higgins! Bye Bye Bieksa. Sbisa, a 3.4 million mistake on this pizza man.
