I would seriously take injured Kassian over half the players right now.

Anyways putting aside depressing Canucks talk.
Double OT in the Hawks and Preds game right now, pretty exciting!
But the best series so far has been the Ottawa/Montreal game. I'm hoping for Sens to win a few back just to make the series go longer; I haven't seen such an exciting game in like ever.

Let's get real guys. It's not like ANYBODY had them pegged to reach the conference finals let alone the cup. Let's just TRY and enjoy in misery the remaining games. Plus the Flames won't make it past the 2nd round anyway |

Pretty sad in a 'must-win' game, the two most effective forwards after the Sedins were Vey and MacMillian

watching the preds hawks game makes me even more sad how pathetic our game is.
what's amazing too is that in a double OT game, they have 4 defencemen playing 40 minutes each, and the other 2 defencemen playing only 13 minutes each.

On the front end, as long as the Sedins are our point leaders, nothing will happen in the post season. On the back end, the only light there are Tanev and Edler. Sbisa got the contact he got because who the hell else are they gonna pick up? Bieksa, as much as I loved him back in 2011 for his shark series heroics and all the scrap he dominated in, he's done. Granted, he's probably playing through an injury but it is what it is.
The only thing to look forward to are the kids. Hopefully they develop them properly. Even still, we don't really have any stand out prospects. I know we have Bo but it's not like he's beast on the offensive side.
That said, I still can't wait for Thursday's game. I will be there to tell Hiiiiillllllleeeerrrrr again just like I did on game 2. Here's to hoping they can at least stretch it to game 7
Go Canucks go!

The Hawks/Preds game right now is so intense, triple OT! This is what REAL hockey is.
Duncan Keith over 45min TOI, Roman Josi at 42. Damn Canucks and their "keeping them fresh" crap.
During that intense penalty kill, the Preds did exactly what I was screaming at the TV for the Canucks to do, just whip it down the boards. Instead they poke it around, give it away, and let in a goal. |

Barzal would be nice but I'd like to see them move up in the draft and maybe get a 2nd rounder back.
Bonino for a 2nd round pick? Might be worth a look. He's been pretty useless without Getzlaf and the Ducks.

Anyways, there's a sweet powerpick for Subban to score 4 points or more, (he has 3 atm) and Canadians to win the series.
2.80x payout..worth a decent bet.

I'm trying to figure out what the point of calling up Baertschi is and then not playing him? Especially when Utica is knee deep in its own playoffs?
All we hear the taking heads droning on and on and on about is how great Calgary's youngest players are and we have a chance to reply with our own younger stars and we stick a Phoenix washup in? Altho, as someone pointed out, that line was our best one besides the Sedins... Which isn't what I'd call a positive thing.

our grave was dug when vey and mcmillan were put in in instead of baertschi and ....well, anybody
also, bieksa was limping to the bench after a hit in the first, guessing he's injured cuz he can't seem to spin away from the forecheck and keeps turning it over (even more than usual)

i don't know about you guys but I missed most of the third for the preds/hawks game.
That's a hockey game!
And lets' be honest here....was anyone really expecting a different result? We've seen this shit for the past couple playoffs (except last year - there was none).
Everyone has agreed, this team needs a revamp. Stop with the plugs, and lets rebuild.

Vey was his usual useless self! Mcmillin was surprisingly not to bad he was actually hitting out there but sadly no ofence. Sven has to be playing next game there's no way vey should be in the line up if we need to score goals!
