Flames are finally done, Clippers are on the verge of advancing. Life is good.

Hey, we can team up. I'll sell them the bridge and you can help them insure it!

Although the Ducks deserved it, I'm still pretty disappointed that Kesler is advancing :rukidding:

6o4__boi 05-11-2015 11:28 AM

Guess he knew what he was getting into when he forced a trade to the Ducks lol

punkwax 05-11-2015 02:28 PM

I'm happy for Kes. The guy played his heart out for the Canucks, never got much support along the way and probably saw no signs of that changing. Especially after last year's debacle, I don't blame him for wanting a change of scenery and an opportunity to win it all.

Asshole or not, if the Ducks win, I'll be cheering for Kes when he lifts the Cup over his head.

Gillis had 4 years to provide him with a competent winger and failed to do so

lmao at bringing in Sturm

Tim Budong 05-11-2015 03:06 PM

lol that chick is so fired?
interviews Jack Eichel at the IIHF and drapes a sabres shirt over him. someone quickly pulls away.

It’s been almost a month since the NHL Draft Lottery and we all now know that Connor McDavid will be going No. 1 to Edmonton and Jack Eichel No. 2 to the Buffalo Sabres. Peter Chiarelli and Tim Murray aren’t trading out of those spots and no teams have offered an Eric Lindros-type package their way…yet.

So with that in mind, IIHF reporter Olga Khmylev sat down with Eichel in Prague during the World Championships and wanted to see what a Sabres shirt would look like on the top prospect. The Tweet sent out by the IIHF has since been deleted, but nothing ever disappears from the Internet.

I can't say Kes was my favorite player but he does play with an edge and it usually pays off.

That been said I can see why some people hate him. He did get called out last night by Mike Johnson last night for banging his stick because he wanted the puck on a few shifts. He said the other players should be pissed. Mind you Mike Johnson is an idiot so not sure if anyone takes what he says serious.

Canucks Prospects camp at Shawnigan Lake School. My GF is a teacher there, so hopefully I have an in :D

Also, I have that week booked off for holidays, too.

I'm just glad the CBC ball hugging of the Flames will (hopefully) stop. I liked Kesler when he was here, but he left on bad terms. I can see why people dislike him. Shit attitude.

I was hoping the Flames would beat ANA so we get a better pick (with MIN and CGY eliminated, WSH is our last hope of moving up), but Johnson and Romanuk were just as unbearable during the ANA-CGY series as Hughson and Simpson were in the first round.

Mike Johnson did a great job sounding like a Flames homer. Jesus Christ.

Ovie guarantees a game 7 win so that the Caps play the Habs or the Lightning.

The great 8 is pulling a Mark Messier.

If anyone is betting on the Caps and Rangers game, put your money on Washington.

Gotta Hear It: Ovechkin guarantees Game 7 victory - Sportsnet.ca

hi-revs 05-11-2015 06:52 PM

If i were to bet, it'd be on NYR.

Both teams are too inconsistent to actually make a bet and feel confident about it :lol

AzNightmare 05-11-2015 07:25 PM

I would bet on Holtby getting a shutout.

white rocket 05-11-2015 07:25 PM

I kinda feel like Ove deserves a Cup. I'd prefer to see NYR make it due to AV being there but shit, the Great 8 hasn't even seen a 3rd round.

Pretty sure there's a Playnow powerpick for that ...

XplicitLuder 05-11-2015 07:41 PM

caps are 1-9 after leading a playoff series by more than 2 games, ill bet NYR Kappa

Ch28 05-11-2015 07:58 PM

Patiently awaiting subordinate's next power pick crew signing in

If I remember right, he would only waive his NTC to Anaheim and pretty much gave up playing for this team. If you sign a contract with a club, you can't force the team to trade you when things go south.

Yes he was a great talent, and surely a hard position to fill, but the guy handicapped us. We could have gotten return for him, but he HANDICAPPED us into only trading him to one team.

gonna stop you right here.... if a player gets a NTC, it is in his right to say what he does with it
Yea it sucks he pulled that stunt, but the time was up for kes. The rumors and such, whether it was true or not(more true than not...i think) was just not healthy.
