Absolutely, he could have parted on better terms but when he had the Canucks jersey on, he gave it his all on the ice no matter how injured he was or even though he wanted a fresh start elsewhere. Would be awesome to see him hoist the Cup

Happy to see the Ducks get an OT win. That's some heavy momentum for them. Tough loss after the Toews show. That dude is the business. As an unbiased hockey fan I'd love to see a Game 7 win for Anaheim.

As for Kesler, it's the way he acts and way he left Vancouver IMO. Just seems douchy. But those politics have zero to do with his skill, which is killer.

Vancouver Canucks is a sinking ship. What he did is something anyone would've done in any industry, any field, any profession; and his NTC was well earned, even in retrospect.

Anwho, overall as a long time fan, his departure from the club really speaks more to me about the the club, than it is about the individual.

If you're the type that signs terms of agreements and bitches about said agreements and arrangements you just signed... Believe me, you're the last person I would want to sign an agreement with, nor should anyone.

And as has been mentioned countless of times, that contract was earned. Whether it was an NTC in lieu of $$$, or $$$ in lieu of NTC, that contract and all of it's arrangements was earned. Fault the franchise for choosing to offer NTC instead of more $$$ instead of faulting the player making use of whatever he was given.

For the love of god, Kesler exercised his right in his NTC. And as Noir mentioned, it was given to him from MG as a cap saving measure.
Yes he did want out after the team couldnt move along with him. And probably felt it was managements fault. So did Rick Nash. So did Ilya Kovalchuk (to NJ). So did Jarome Iginla. Hell, even Marty St Louis left (although on personal beef). Did they have their choosing in teams too? Yes

As for Kesler being a dick apart from exercising his NTC, yeah thats probably warranted. Numerous accounts of him around the city being a dick.
