Higgins and Hansen have limited/modified NTC not entirely sure what the details of them are.

Are players like Horvat, Sinkaruk, Jensen, Virtanen ready? I guess we'd have to wait for training camp.

richardson wont be moved, too versatile in a bottom 6 role. plays both c and wing. it will be hansen, higgins or burrows. virtanen had shoulder surgery so hes whl bound for sure, shinkaruk recovering from surgery so hes ahl bound for sure. with vrbata, burrows, and kassian theres no place on the right wing for jensen, and he cant play left wing. horvat, although a center started at lw in ohl, and you could see him start there in the nhl to learn the game speed etc, especially since we are weak on the left.

Which burrows is coming back for next year? Who's going to eat up his 4.5mil for the season he had last year?

Look at all the players in the last 5 years who have NTC's, I'm sure there are dozens worse. When you're tight to the cap and a NTC might knock off a couple hundred K, it probably makes sense to give them it if you think the window is now.

limited no trade clauses aren't that bad, for those 2 they probably have a 10-12 team list they have to give. considering we can also retain salary, it makes them very attractive as 4th liners to contenders

Whats done is done, no point argueing about the past. I do like what our future holds if our Prospects turn into something good.

He did exactly that, won two presidents trophies, and was 4 goals away from a cup. Relatively speaking he's by far the best GM we've ever had because when Quin was GM he didn't promise shit, nor did he build the "best" team, he got lucky and the team over preformed.

Look at the Oilers, they have all the young talent from tanking year after year. but they lack true leadership and mentorship. who do they have? Andrew Ference to lead the whole damn team and mentor each and everyone of them?

Having the Sedins, Bieksa, Burrows, and Hamhuis to mentor your young prospects will help them develop and maximize their skills much faster. If only our cupboard full of prospects can do half the magical things the Sedins have done on the ice.

Soo I was listening to team 1040 this morning and they said that Benning had asked burrows to waive his NTC to go to NJ for a prospect and a pick. Burrows said no.

For what we pay Burrows and last season aside, he's reliable and consistent. I'd like him to stay. He had one bad season production wise and it was plagued with injuries. I'll let it go for now.
