Maybe I'm the only one here but I kinda want a different color jersey for the team.. Black would be sweet lol :P

Mike Oxbig 07-30-2014 12:13 PM

Stick with Blue/Green/White... its the only identity Vancouver Canucks have. The blue represents the wate, green as trees (BC bud :troll:) and white as clouds.

tonyzoomzoom 07-30-2014 04:34 PM

don't change the jersey colour. You want a sea of blue in the stands.

Hondaracer 07-30-2014 06:14 PM

dont change the jersey.. jesus

we just dig ourselves deeper and deeper into this pit of mediocrity and look like a joke for always looking to retool everything. Good franchises never try this shit

SkinnyPupp 07-30-2014 07:11 PM

You consider this a "good franchise"? Along the lines of the Blackhawks, Red Wings, Ranger, etc?

Don't kid yourself. This is a goofy 70's expansion team that had a couple cup runs that built a fan base. They can go ahead and retool the look as much as they want. There's no "legacy" to adhere to.

Wow, way to make a counter point

PiuYi 07-30-2014 08:19 PM

lets not kick our own team in the nuts here, for a goofy 70's expansion team we have one of the bigger followings in the NHL outside original 6.... canucks have made some epic bad moves but are also a consistently exciting team to watch the past 20yrs (including off-ice drama)

nah 07-30-2014 10:25 PM

They'll do it if it makes Aquilini money...

it's not even about being currently "good" it's about maintaining a level of integrity. When you're at this point you should be striving to move forward with a legacy.

Not to pile on, but in all truth in the last 15 years i've never been lower on the Canucks than i am right now.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they are the Atlanta Thrashers. However they aren't some amazingly awesome team with a storied history. They are our home team and that's great. But they're still a 70's expansion team who have yet to win anything. Not to kick them in the nuts, but be realistic too. They can do things like play around with jersey designs and such.

relatively speaking, they've had a fairly "storied" history with their 3 final appearances. At least they've had a taste where as many North American pro teams have never even had a sniff.

Good to see he's participating in the non-contact drills already. I expect to see him in the WJC this year.

Mike Oxbig 08-01-2014 08:35 AM

will maccan, horvat, virtanen, shinkaruk and subban be in the WJC this yr?

6o4__boi 08-01-2014 09:10 AM

all strong possibilities except maybe Subban imo

Jmac 08-01-2014 09:40 AM

They seldom take anyone who wasn't a top 60 pick for the WJC. Draft pedigree plays a huge factor (which is bullshit, IMO).

Shinkaruk will be too old to play in WJC (1995-born or later)
