VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks have hired Perry Pearn as an assistant coach.
Pearn joins the new Vancouver staff led by head coach Willie Desjardins.
The 63-year-old from Stettler, Alberta has spent 19 NHL seasons as an assistant coach with Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal, and the New York Rangers.
His NHL coaching career began in 1995-96 with Winnipeg, and he spent the past two seasons with the Jets.
“We are very excited to name Perry to our staff today,” Canucks GM Jim Benning said in a statement. “Perry brings a wealth of experience and knowledge at the NHL level to our organization.”
On the international stage, Pearn coached Canada to gold at the 1993 world junior championship. He also served as an assistant on championship-winning Canadian teams in 1990 and 1991.
I hated Mark Lee on CBC, he had the power to make any amazing game seem boring as fuck. I must've slept through a few games on HNIC when he was doing play by play.
If there was any positives to take out from that crazy Rogers deal, it would be this.
I hope they move Jim Hughson to do more Pacific time games.
Is it me or does Henrik seems very competitive for a ping pong match?
1-1, 2-1, 3-1, 4-1 etc.. Daniel just seems to be just enjoy and play.
Maybe that's why Henrik is captain and not Daniel

It could have been a great series, the Sedins just don't have any personality for trash talking or just generally saying funny stuff or trashing each other, etc.
