as the registered owner you can request release i believe. it's been discussed many times in this forum. do a search for it.

Read the documentation provided to your girlfriend that is for the registered owner of the vehicle.

key question: is she still your gf?
If she is, enjoy the unlimited sandwiches that are coming your way. I hear turkey, live pate, cranberry put together on multigrain with love tastes awesome!

When I got my dad's car impounded in 2010 (for excessive speeding, and before anyone decides to beak me off, I didn't dispute it and paid my dues) he was able to request a release as he was the registered owner AND principal operator of the vehicle. He also made the argument that he uses his car for hauling tools and HVAC parts so he would be "greatly affected" (LEOs words, not mine) if he didn't have it for 7 days. It's always worth a shot.
And I would also break up with her, if both A) unlimited, no restrictions sex and B) unlimited, no restrictions home-cooked meals, were not part of the apology package. Just my $0.02

Read the title, came in here and let me say I am not surprised by the unnecessary comments. I know some are just jokes and its funny, but because of these sexist jokes, it drives female car enthusiasts away from these forums.
Yea i know, the Gf did something wrong, and obviously shes going to have to take responsibility but to end a relationship based on whether she carries out ur "apology package" to provide "unlimited, no restriction sex" is just ridiculous. That's just my $0.02.

That's just my $0.02. | I can end the relationship based on the fact that she is a stupid idiot for drinking and driving. That's my choice on whether or not I want to associate myself with dumbasses.
There is literally NO EXCUSE to drink and drive.
Doesn't matter if its my girlfriend, my best friend, or I dare say even a family member. If I don't feel they have learned the lesson, or aren't owning up to the fact that they did something stupid, I'm done. I don't want to be around that person any longer.
The risks associated with drinking and driving are so apparent and documented that it's literally like a delayed game of Russian roulette.

But my point still stands, I can choose not to be friends with anyone if they drink and drive. Why would you want to be friends with someone so stupid. Quote:

Look you guys can think what you want about me, but most of my friends know where I stand on the subject. Until you guys lose a family member to drunk driving like I have, then you can come back and visit this issue.
I am by no means a perfect human being, I am an asshole, im a dickhead, and frequently I am unfair, and thickheaded.
But drunk driving is SOO SO SO stupid that there really isn't any excuses.
EDIT: For the record I hope nobody in here ever has to deal with a death in their family or friends or in any capacity related to DUI, but if by some unfortunate, terrible event something does happen, you might better understand my view on the topic.
