UBC in the 70s..........
The world famous UBC Cinnamon Buns. I've tried the new ones, the not so new ones and all the ones at bakeries from around the universe and nothing comes close to those that were made back in the 60's-70's. Sticky fingers and textbooks, lol. So soft and gooey. You had to get them when they were still warm. Of course they were always sold out by 11:00 am. Gave me reason never to sleep in.
my cousin had one and after we got bored of putting it down the stairs a bunch of times we decided to see if it could reach the entire room pulling it,ruined the hell outta of it and never worked again.
Also i remember getting this on xmas..
you would pump it and shoot the pins down...might've being a different version....it made one hell of a pop sound.
headphone shopping and had flashbacks from my highschool days
saw someone with a pair of these back in the.day and thought they were cool, then my cousin had a pair and just gave them to me lol (really thought the led lighting was the shits back in 8th grade)
I went up to a cute chick and asked her if she'd let me take a photo of her for $30 she slapped me, she said to me that "I AIN'T A WHORE!"
But other than that I have seen every car on display in DTP just by cruising about in Richmond, thank you very much for collecting them together and get someone to sing a cover for "fuck you".
OH FUCK YOU OH OH OOOOH~

My friend's parents had the books, I LOVED that shit back then
I remember bits of that commercial as well as some of those book covers. I think they might have got spammed during daytime TV. Watching The Price is Right on a pro-d day was the epitome of life back then.

Yup. Had the box set back in the day.
I remember some of the pics were kinda like holographic.
Pretty freaky stories when you're a kid.
Same with unsolved mysteries haha. That Robert Stack did a great job.

YES TOTALLY REMEMBER THAT SHOW,locations are:180 West 2nd Avenue (station building), Tom Lee Music on Granville Street, MarketPlace IGA at Smithe and Burrard Streets, plus outside Vancouver proper at Coquitlam Centre, and at Metropolis at Metrotown (thanks to wiki)
I remember using it once at metrotown before the program was gone, me and a friend dared each other and loser had to put in a $1
My friend lost, so I gave him a $1 just to go on camera lol (we were trying to see if we get one tv but both of use were shy)

I didn’t have those exact British Knights but I did have an all black pair. Then it was rumoured to be dangerous to wear BK shoes as it stood for Blood Killers lol... right around the same time as the Purple gang was terrorizing Metrotown if I remember correctly. Couldn’t wear purple around there or you could get beat up back in the early 90’s.. could’ve been all rumours but I remember people talking about that back then.

Haha, I remember that. It didn't stop me from rocking my purple satin starter jacket. I got this for Christmas 1991 so awesome at the time haha.
I almost got jumped for my jacket one day then my good friend pulled a knife on some dude and he backed off, Surrey What!
No joke, when I was in grade 7 two kids got in a fight one kid got stabbed multiple times (more slashed than stabbed) and neither kid got expelled they just got suspended a couple days. If that happened today it would be on global news.

All the kids were wearing their Reebok Pumps, LA Gear pumps, Nike Airs, Air Jordans, etc while I was sporting the latest K-Mart brand and got teased (My elementary school was nicknamed by the rest of the schools as the snob school). In order to convince my mom to stop buying me cheap shoes, I used to wear the shit out of them, drag my feet while riding my bike, etc so they would fall apart faster. I was so happy to get my Reebok 360 Hi Jams, even though they weren't pumps, they at least were name brand. It wasn't long after that I realized name brands aren't helping me fit in any better and my friends are spoiled dicks. Found a new crew and let out my inner nerd.
