Anyone remember Sears kids? Back in the day my mom would buy my jeans from there cuz was sort of warranty on them where u get free replacement if they rip, there was a age restriction or something I remember wear bugle boy jeans as kid, not sure if Sears had them or if it was off some other parents kids but I had them when I was in grade 2 (I even had holes in them in knees afterwards cuz fashion lol) |
Lobo/xtc force from fields were standard in elementary. First pair of decent shoes i ever got (British knights), was because i paid for them. I remember shoe strings on Kingsway, across from metrotown had reasonably discounted shoes. Frugal feet in metrotown was like the winners for shoes (there was no winners back then,of course). |

LOL at the purple gang. I remember the PD's (Filipino Descendants, FD sounds lame I guess) had some purple ties in Richmond back then. Richmond Centre food court was wild and hectic at lunch time. They rolled in mega numbers though. |
I had all those shoes growing up. LA Gear, BK, Reebok Pumps, Chuck Taylors etc. Kinney was my go to place then migrated to Superstar & Sports Experts (which still exists to my shock). Side note: https://blog.urbanoutfitters.com/fil...Guys-&-E40.jpg I use to rock the shit out of Fubu because 05 is the day of the month I was born so it was special to me. |
Fubu was the bomb back in the early 2000s, ppl were wearing them like crazy lol Anyone remember these https://images.urbanoutfitters.com/i...&fit=constrain Tear way track pants, I remember they use to be super cool way back when i was young We used to tear off others pants as pranks lol |
^girls got the tear-away prank treatment too. The mid 90's were different times. |
tearaways were dope to rip off, but sucked to put back on... |
don't forget the champion branded track pants too. |

I had a pair of adidas half tear way pants, which looked like tear ways on the outside but it only tears halfway So kids try to tear my pants but couldn't tear them up fully cuz anything above my knee a little bit were all fake buttons lol, so jokes on them as I didn't have to do all those buttons lol I also remember kids wouldn't button all the buttons lol, they like button all the way down to the knee and bit, that was it |
those adidas button ups were so popular "fields" even had a rip off verison with only 2 white stripes on the side with buttons. i had a pair, thought nothing of them, but everyone wanted a pair at school. Yeah Fubu was massively popular back then,i think it was like 54 dollar for a t-shirt back,I remember seeing Dr.dre wearing fubu in a clothing ad in the source magazine later on too. |
Seemed cool. At the time anyways. Awwww the nineties. |
Quite possibly the best movie ever created. In the world. Ever. |

I had the half tear away pants from zellers lol, didn’t have the name brand ones |
I think mine were fake knocks offs that some of my parents rich friends gave me after their kid out grew them (yes there was a time when rich Chinese were thrifty in a way). |

i heard black markets in china use to sell of movies in VCD format just in theaters with relatively good clarity, someone would just walk in,sell it and go on. known fact in the early 2000's,Canada use to be a leader in Clearly recorded bootleg movies because they would use a Tripod inside the movie theater. enough so Hollywood threatened to release movies months later if it doesn't stop happening,There wasn't any Laws for bringing in video recording equipment inside at the time. Asia was ahead of the curve on VCD players, later brands like Sony started supporting VCD & No One Had a damn clue what it was till later here in north america....DVD's were selling huge here ..i remember everyone purchasing day 1 releases cause it was so much better picture & sound than vcr tapes.....optical 5.1 and dts 5.1 was godsend |

Christmas as a kid. I miss it :crybaby: Favourite was in 1992 when I was hoping for a SNES bundled with Super Mario World & TWO controllers. I didn't have a NES so I never played Mario Bros 3 which means you can imagine my level of happiness and shock playing SMW for the first time. Only ever experienced it watching others play it at Phantasy Video Games out in Coquitlam. That Christmas Eve was the only night I didn't sleep a whole wink. Way too excited. We didn't have a lot of money but after working hard in school, I was rewarded with this. |
