Whistler Trip

Anyone know of a good hotel up on Whistler that can fit 8 - 10 people? Most of them only allow me to select up to 6...

If you don't mind staying in Creekside, Legends 2 bedroom condos can hold that many. Just say you have 6 and sneak the rest in. They don't check, or at least I've never seen it.

Went twice this year with a group of 9-10 people. We booked two 2-bedroom suites and was very pleased:
Whistler Creekside Hotel | First Tracks Lodge - older but slightly larger space (dining and tv area)
Whistler Creekside Hotel | Evolution Whistler - newer but slightly smaller space

Most suites in Creekside also have 3 or 4 bedroom suites. But they might be low in availability or require you to stay a minimum number of nights. At least I wasn't able to book them a week before my arrival date.

What's the downside of staying in Creekside? Is it a bad place?

It's not the Village. You have to drive/bus up to Whistler Village proper to get to the main village. Creekside is quieter, but less shopping and restaurants around the immediate Creekside area.

Are you going in the winter, or in the summer?

FYI I chose creekside because I wanted the suites and they were affordable. We had kids in tow, so we planned on eating in for several meals. Restaurants in the village aren't particularly convenient for large groups. You'll easily have to wait 30mins+ for a table and that wouldn't have necessarily worked for us.

Besides, creekside to the village is like 5-10 mins drive away.

Don't look at hotels, go on VRBO or AirBnB and look up vacation properties/cottages
