| By law parking ticket - Wrong make
So I was parking behind my friends garage door in his ally for about an hour and got a ticket. It states I drive a nissan when I don't, may I dispute this?

Have you tried calling into customer service to ask them?
If there is an error on the ticket, the city may void the ticket.
This will save you the hassle of going through the process

his original post said that the license plate was correct on the ticket, and the issuing officer got the make wrong.
He edited his post so that instead of flaming him we can all tell him "yeah go you have ground for a dispute, go do it son".

just to clarify what the facepalms mean and what I think everyone is saying here:
you CAN dispute this or get the city to void the ticket because there is an error on the ticket.
However, if you deserved that ticket in the first place, you SHOULD pay it since you did the act and you were in the wrong.
It is all about honesty. You might be able to get away with it, but that doesn't mean you should.
Just be happy that it's not a Diamond parking ticket and pay it lol.

This situation actually happened to me but I was innocent. I got a letter in the mail saying I was parked illegally with my license correct and wrong make at a certain date and time and that I had to appear in court since I did not pay ( I never got a ticket on my window). I called in the number in the letter and explained and they voided it. Keep in mind the officers take pictures of the car they ticket.

They still have a picture of the car, so when you call in they'll just change the ticket to the correct make.
Only time you can dispute is wrong license plate on ticket or the picture of the plate+car does not match your car at all.
