its a fan movie. you have to know the batman/superman/justice league in order to enjoy it. Zack Snyder didn't help with the story telling either and made the movie very unforgiving to those trying to get in to the DC universe. Its definitely not a movie to attract new fans, but a good movie for the fans.
I enjoyed it and I definitely don't think it deserves the low ratings, but I do sympathize the people who gave it a bad review.

I don't know much about the DC universe and your right, during the movie I had questions that a person not familiar with the universe would have. Overall I still really enjoyed the movie though - the character development were solid and its great watching two super heroes battle it out
the negative reviews are because some people are getting confused with different storylines being introduced, how doomsday looks kinda like a ninja turtle, a lot of characters are being squeezed in the movie, and it doesnt have that "Marvel" humour.
I personally enjoyed the movie but i do agree it can be a bit of a headscratcher if you're not a DC fan or do not have a good knowledge of Justice League. This movie has the same dark feel as Watchmen so if you're used to Marvel-ish take on hero movies (comedic, feel-good superhero movie) then you will feel a little unsatisfied.
Affleck as batman was surprisingly great. He played the part well. In fact, i liked him better than Christian Bale's take on batman (flame suit on).
Fight scenes were great, some where a little over the top to the point where your eyes dont know what to follow.

- Justice League characters short cameos
- Batman's dream shows the Omega symbol and parademons hinting Justice League's enemy will be Darkseid.
- superman's crest on military and him killing people hinting a possible "Injustice" story
- Flash talking to bruce wayne (not sure if dream or real) on a time tear yelling "Lois Lane is the key" could be a reference to "injustice" once again
- Lex Luthor making a reference of other beings knowing about how a god can be defeated hints Darkseid's coming to try to take over earth
Just watched it and I thought it was great. It felt like a movie for fans and not critics.

The bouncing story arcs could have been a bit better. Some of the people I was with who don't really know each character kind of got confused.
I did not mind the flash "lois is the key" part. But it was strange coming out of a dream vision. Please make a injustice or flashpoint paradox movie!
The thing I hated the most was the ridiculous intro to all the justice league characters via an email. Felt as forced as the god damn infinit stone crap in Age of ultron.
I got goosebumps during the "WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME!" part.
The fact that batman kills is making me think the prequel movies will have him start with his moral code and eventually cross the line by killing the joker or something along those lines. (making the joker in the suicide squad not the first joker)
BvS will take a LOT of good feedback for me to go watch it in a theatre, and so far I'm not seeing much hype at all, just some apologies and excuses from fans for why they like it.

it did feel a bit rushed, and too much packed into 2.5 hours. but... yeah.
it would help if i watched superman again.

joker is already dead right? cuz robin is dead in this movie, judging by the costume lol... yeah how they intro all the other justice guys in the email was kinda dumb.
it would certainly help people if they knew who darkseid was and doomsday...
Watched a matinee yesterday to avoid the big crowds.
Like others have said, I can see why the critics gave it such a low rating; whereas DC fans would enjoy it.
I thought Affleck was great as Bruce Wayne. Is he still going to be Batman again for the future Justice League films?
Way too many bouncing arcs. Way too many new characters intro'd. WW didn't do anything in most of the movie. There wasn't even really a story behind her. Other than Superman and Batman, there was like no character development. Red head lois lane?! WTF batman using guns? I don't think this would be canon Batman or Superman if it wasn't for their brand.
If they're going to intro a new arc or dimension, at least re-tell the stories behind the characters.
only thing shitty about this movie is the editing.. jesus fuck so many important things you know are missing from the movie lol
awesome movie tho, seeing it a second time with my family hahah 8/10 for me maybe cause im a dc fanboy haha

thats because this movie played in theatre is editting, the directors cut is 34-44 mins longer and is rated R.

Best Original Movie part! This is what the movie should have been like, and what I was expecting. Maybe too much. In this universe they explain that Batman is an aged old man retired after Robin died.
hopefully when superman returns hes wearing the new52 superman suit. turtleneck ftw

dont think so, they tryna keep it in the older gens of the DC universe, if based off the comic books, doomsday and superman actually both die and come back a lot stronger, probably gonna see superman being OP next movie haha
