Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Work Safe BC

Hey Guys,

A friend is asking if someone has an exp or know someone that did BCIT OHS
program. Basically my friend is looking to get the Occupational Health and Safety Certificate Program in BCIT. He's wondering if this is enough to land a
job in work safe bc and potential jobs out there.

He wanted to check this route before pursuing the 4 year term.

PS is this work on demand atm?

Your help is much appreciated

Thanks

I know its a great program, It's always in demand because every company needs/has at least one OHS staff per office. As safety concerns of employees are on the rise, there are opportunities in almost every major company out there.

just my 2 cents, I haven't worked or gone to school for it. But I have done work for many major companies over the past few years.

i suggest talking to the professors at BCIT as they may have insight and info as to what your friend is looking for after the program. won't hurt to contact work safe bc too and see if someone is able to give some info.
