Not Sure if Accident - Kingsway Southbound Fraser Intersection Rocket Bunny FRS
 

As the title states,

Location: Kingsway Southbound @ 12th Ave Intersection
Time: Aug 02, 2014 - 9:55 PM

I am not sure if an accident did occur.
My car and a Rocket Bunny FRS was waiting at the red light @
intersection of Kingsway and 12th ave, we both were traveling south bound on Kingsway. A slew of cars was going on the advanced green left turn and the last car was definitely going after the advanced green signal stopped, because our light was already green.

As I was pulling away from the intersection, I hear a honk and the FRS put on his hazards. My daughter needed her diaper changed, or I wouldve stopped.

That's the Reggie's night runner FRS. I sincerely hope he didn't get into an accident.

I think this video may hurt the FRS more than help? It looks like FRZ had enough time to tell oncoming car will not clear intersection and will need a few more seconds to clear (0:27), but FRS decided to pull up anyways.

I don't think so, the advance turn went off for a couple of seconds already and the car still went. You could tell the driver was in decisive as the gap between him and the other car was pretty big.

Straight on green > turning car each time.

true the FRS had a solid green and had every right to go. however, the FRS did seem to have enough time to react to slow down and let the other car finish its turn. not worth getting your car damaged and the hassles that come with it.

Kingsway/12th

Doesn't sound like an accident. Granted the car turned late like an ass hole, but if the Frs was paying attention why would they accelerate into the turning car. Unless trying to scare the turning car.

you can see the FRS braked pretty much to a stop as it went out of the frame. Looks like he went ahead to scare the turner or wasn't paying attention.
although the left turner was making a D-bag move he has the right of way. My understanding is left turning on a red is OK and the cars with greenlight needs to yield to whoever is still in the intersection completing their turn.

I hope you meant entering the intersection before the light turns red, and completing the turn as the light turns red. You can't just run a red to turn left...

ah, watched the video again. Both northbound/southbound has green...the left turn signal westbound had just expired. No red lights involved so nevermind the turner does not have right of way.

You're correct that you can't just turn in a red even if it's fresh unless you're already in the intersection...but I do find it odd that the traffic cameras don't produce fines for that. You get flashed and it takes a photo but you don't seem to get a ticket in the mail.

Looked like OP was trying to race the FRS, cutting it pretty close with the late left turner while having his daughter(and possibly wife/SO) in the car with him.

OP's elantra would have raped the FRS anyways :badpokerface:
