Bali Anyone been there before? need to know what I can do there as i think i'm going to be there about 5 days. thanks! places to go, eat, do? thanks in advance. |
There's so much to do in Bali. So so so much to do. Learn how to surf, learn how to cook Indonesian/Balinese food, relax on the beach, scuba/watersports, go into Ubud, just walk around, take a tour, look at Balinese culture, visit museums. Go to Lombok, go fishing, go explore old temples, go visit Tanah Lot and see the sunset. Go clubbing, eat out a lot, get drunk, go get MASSAGES LOTS OF CHEAP MASSAGES, get your hair in dreads... whatever you want to do it's probably there. Lots of Ozzies and Westerners there, so most people understand some English. The Balinese are very friendly and happy to help. Man, I could spend a month in Bali and not finish everything. For food, do you want expensive or cheap? There's lots of good restaurants there. One of my favourites is Cuca, very interesting Asian/Western fusion. Lots of Balinese restaurants too, Warung Pulau Kelapa is one of my faves there. |
i'm on Langkawi (Malaysia) and will be heading through indonesia in a week or two starting with Sumatra, then Java, then Bali and on to Komodo/Gilies and maybe more have met ton's of people who have been there already, can't wait |
i'm excited. i have never thought of learning to cook in bali, that's a great idea by the way. i'm into any types of food. hotel will be in north kuta.... |
Sorry I haven't responded for a while, been crazy busy with the wildfires in Northern BC. Will get back to you on the food in Kuta, though most of Kuta is pretty touristy... |
