@ Klaus T , Its a bit of a joke really isn't it ? why don't you tell people how much it is going to cost people to use the track, what modifications a persons car needs to be able to use the track, that is if a person can use their own car or have to rent cars from 3 point motors ..Instead you are using smoke and mirrors. people still believe that they will be able to test their own cars . 3 point motors wont tell them otherwise. and love the fact that the rumors that they put in place are doing a good job of fooling the locals.
Was at the Motor gathering and the had a display set up. The had a computer simulation of cars going around the track and the guy had a book showing all the different track layouts. 3 Different full course layout and 2 layouts where there would be 2 tracks. And that is just phase one!!! I was going to take some pictures but it was not allowed.
Next years Motor gathering on August 20th will be at the track in Duncan.

I spoke to one of the reps at the display and he was saying it is by membership but their will be access to track days for a few organizations. Best bets are PCA (Porsche Club) and possibly VMSC (Victoria Motor Sports Club).

If PCA and especially VMSC can gain access to the track, it would be an incredible opportunity for both Islanders and Mainlanders to sample the track.
2016 will be exciting starting in February when the membership sales are opened.
Then in the end of March with the first internal test sessions at the new facility.
Love the idea, hate the execution and promoting as a country club for motorsports enthusiasts... yah... *most* motorsports enthusiasts work on their own cars and don't have the kind of cash a country club is looking for. Might as well rename it the elitest race track.
Things like race tracks should be accessible to people, not closed off gated communities where your net worth matters more than your passion for motorsports.
From the above teaser video's comments, GAIN wrote this:

We have always been open in revealing the future operations of our Motorsport facility in that it will be one that is rentable to corporate companies and dealerships like ours in addition to various motorsport clubs. We are building a privately funded facility and thus, this has been our plan of operations from the beginning.
I have been on and off following the development of the track, and I'd have to say that all the previous rumours/news that I read were all suggesting that the facilities were only going to be a private country club type of arrangement. But this recent message (posted a mere 16 hours ago) is quite a monumental shift -- it is the very first time GAIN has openly indicated that the facility will be "rentable to motorsports clubs".
I hope they would stay true to their words and that enthusiasts (and not just elite club members) would have a chance to drive there.
