could be drug related though so I wouldn't be surprise if it was, grew up in a pretty bad neighborhood so probably just knew the wrong people.

Most likely. People don't get gunned down in a targeted shooting for nothing.

People who get shot in the street were probably doing a lot more than just "hanging with the wrong crowd"

Damn...

When I was in high school, we had to go to a presentation by a group called LOVE out of Toronto. Most of the presenters escaped from gang life or knew people in gang life. They had seen some hard shit. I knew right then and there that no matter what hard times befall me, I wasn't going to throw away my life #YoloSwag style.

There's a CBC doc about young Vancouver gangsters, how many of them came from comfortable two income homes. These clowns should be smart enough to be successful without being strapped or fearing for your life every day. Do a goddamn cost benefit analysis: benefits-easy sex, fast cash, cars, expensive dinners at CinCin, appearance of power. Cost-prison, your life or the lives of those you love. What outweighs what?

And this shit applies to gangster girlfriends, too. You want a fast paced lifestyle? Go skiing, do autocross, fucking take a ritalin, for all I care. Don't risk getting swiss cheesed for some BS that's 100% avoidable.

The Gilmore/Brentwood area has had a lot of OC activity since the run up to the Olympics. With the new towers going up, there's just going to be more and more of this shit. It's fucking scary and sad, man.

This post doesn't fit the spirit of "Auto Chat" but I just wanted to rant.
