Could we all agree to stop using vague/ambiguous metaphors in an attempt of making a point?
I mean, wouldn't be a much better point if you just said who this "real puppet master" is instead of making a general statement that really boils down to nothing?

Do you really the like of some mediocre hackers are able to take on an entire state?
Police were openly transporting what appear to be crates of weapons (tear gas/rubber bullets/etc)... Either a scare tactic, or they intend to use force tonight
Grammar police time. Puppeteers. Also known as, the Beijing Government, which in essense controls the HK Government, and therefore controls the HK Police force.
I'm not telling them to do anything. But they're targeting the wrong group is all i'm saying. The police have already changed their tactics after the gongshow that was the first night of protests.
Lets face it though , Anon is not likely going to amount to anything anyways so its a moot point. Although, I would love to see them do some damage to the great firewall of China and expose their citizens to what they're so desperately hiding.
And then China accuses US of cyber guerrilla warfare, then in turn WW3 begins
So the white guy who is running to police just said that one of the officers has just collapsed. So they need to clear the road so the ambulance can get threw.
Regardless the situation or what they are feeling, police should do their job no matter what. A friend of my wife works as a constable messaged us earlier saying that he has been standing in Admirality for 18hr straight, rested 4hrs and stood again. They are exhausted, but they are trained to be neutral in this kind of situation.
obvs a lot of them probably support the movement but they still gotta do their job
money talks mane
Police are neutral in their jobs. There have been a few freakouts, but generally the HKPD are famously good. That's sure to change in the coming years, but right now people don't really have anything against them.
Communist thugs are trying to provoke occupy protesters.. Tearing down not only their signs (which I guess means you just disagree with them - I have been tempted to tear down communist propaganda myself), but their tents and trying to destroy their supply holding. Also yelling at them, throwing things at them, and generally being cunts trying to disrupt the peace.

It was only a matter of time before the provocateurs were sent in.
Edit: Sorry, I should say "activated".
Also, somebody linked me to this today.
Is this legit?
Or is this guy making stuff up?
They sent in more provocateurs. They're literally charging police to attack the protesters. You can watch the live stream on tvb of mainlanders kicking and swarming people.
"5.30pm: The site of the Mong Kok protest site descends into violence as several hundred anti-Occupy protesters broke through police lines and started smashing up protest tents and attacking students. A group of mostly male anti-Occupy protestors appeared to be taking commands from a middle-aged Putonghua-speaking woman wearing a face mask using a loud hailer at the junction of Argyle Street and Nathan Road. The thin line of police separating opposing sides was stretched to breaking point, and finally gave way shortly after 5pm. Soon after more police arrived as the tense stand-off continued."

A comment I found on reddit regarding provocateurs.

Guy from Ukraine checking in. We had our violent dictator overthrown this winter.
Forget about peaceful protest, you are not going to achieve anything with it. It just doesn't work with authoritarian governments, you'll be forced either to disperse or to go violent. If you have the resolve for the latter, better be prepared.
Get yourselves a stock of food, water and medical supplies. You'll need them when they block the roads around you. Talk to your friends and relatives. Those who are not in the center of the protests should participate by supplying. After people have invested even a tiny bit of effort or money into the protests they are likely to support them more.
Authorities will be sending provocators. They'll try to do as much damage to the public property as they can, so that authorities will have a moral right to attack you as hooligans. Be on the lookout, if you see a provocator - punish him.
Don't let the police to take the protesters out of the croud. They are able to do it only because they don't fear retaliation from the crowd. Start with blocking policemen and their vehicles, if things turn violent - try to use prevailing quantities.
Start wearing helmets and masks - it will moderately protect you and will help you to not be identified by the cameras. Get yourselves some shields and sticks like the police has. They are very easy in production, you can crowd-fund that. If police starts to use flashbangs - protect your legs from grenade shards with motorcycle gear or thick pieces of foam sleeping pads.
Also: Don't let the ambulance take your injured to official hospitals: they could get arrested there. Better crowdfund and create an independent medical service to assist with first aid on the spot.
Ask your questions, if any.
Short of waiting things out, I think provocateurs are the CCP's most logical solution.
Unless I'm mistaken, HK people generally have the societal norm of being non-interfering bystanders.
They are not the type to interfere with Bus Uncle or that dude who's GF bitchslapped him.
First aid, social media and supply stations seems to say they are very good at self-organizing,
But are the up to the task of shutting down provocateurs and self policing?
I really don't know the HK culture that well, does anybody have thoughts on this?
