I never understood why people loved this movie so much. I don't get it. It wasn't spectacular. Every time people talked about how 'great' Taken was, I'll ask them if they watched Man on Fire with Denzel. Now that's a proper revenge movie.
t4ken - his identity has been taken, he assumes the identity of a genetically superior man in order to pursue his life long dream of space travel
tak5n - his heart has been taken, replaced with an electric one which he needs to charge periodically or he'll die
taken 6 - his memory is taken, he fights against treadstone while attempting to regain it
taken 7 - his mutant powers are taken by a samurai

Man on Fire was good, but I like Taken better. My favourite part of Taken was the unpredictable nature the first time you watch it, but I found Taken 2 had the same problem as The Hangover 2, they took the same formula and changed the details so the surprises became predictable and boring.
