| D16Y7 transmission possible replacements?
Hey guys
I've got a 1997 Civic CX with the D16Y7.
Since I bought it, the transmission has made grinding sounds, even in neutral with the clutch pedal released, and especially loud in 1st to 3rd gears.
I think my co-worker said it was the input shaft bearing. Well I've put off that, but now I've just realized that my transmission is puking out oil at where the shifter linkage connects to it...
I think from my understanding, any other D16Y7 or D16Y8 transmission will fit. But I can't find any for sale and my budget isn't very high.
Do you guys know if a transmission from a D15B7 will work? There is nothing I can find that says for sure, and if it's as simple as re-using my mounts.
