Altezza/ IS 300

Hi guys, I am going to buy RHD Altezza from Japan, just want to be 100% sure that autoparts are the same for Altezza and Lexus IS 300, so it is not a big problem to find parts for these in BC. It's same, isn't it? Thanks!

Body is the same, motor is different but very similar motors are over here IIRC.

Are you sure you want to buy one?

As always, the JDM market vehicles will have a smaller engine which incorporate a much higher NVH than the USDM counterparts.

not all altezza comes with 2JZ-GE like the north america version... AS200 hav 1G-FE and if u have the RS200 you'll have the BEAMS 3S-GE... also the JDM bumpers have shorter over hangs... make sure do some research before buying...

Why not just buy the CDM/USDM Altezza? Finding parts will be easier and you won't have to deal with the hassle of driving RHD in an LHD world. Granted, it will be hard to find a manual version (presumably what you want) with low KM that hasn't been Surrey-fied, but patience is a virtue.

Unless, of course, you want the lighter JDM version with the 3SGE. As that particular version of that engine was never offered in the US or Canada, finding parts will be somewhat challenging unless you know a Toyota parts guy who is a little more on the helpful side. I would recommend having another car as daily or at least a Compass card, because in some cases you will actually have to "over night parts from Japan" lol

Getting JDM Toyota parts over here is actually easy as hell if you know where to order from.
