Has anyone here purchased a vehicle using unhaggle.com? What has your experience been (actually paying the $99 service)?
I'm looking at a new vehicle and it appeals to me since I hate the negotiating part of buying a new car.

Take this with a grain of salt, but I have heard their numbers aren't exactly accurate (or true at all).

bringing this back from the dead.
i'm trying to look for a 2016 Toyota RAV4 Limited/Tech Hybrid for my dad.
is unhaggle.com effective when paying the $99 service? especially if there is a trade in involved?
are there any other services available?

I think the point of unhaggle is that they do the negotiating for you essentially.
It's still possible to get good deals, and some dealers will actually give you better prices than unhaggle, if you're good.

i've tried two dealerships right now and it's brutal dealing with toyota. everyone is hard set at MSRP, and would maybe throw in little stuff like free oil changes or a cargo mat but that's it. and neither would go under that because hybrids are just flying out the doors...

It's likely the profit margin is slim on the RAV4 you're trying to get.
Try going back to the same sales guy at the end of the month, 1 hour before closing and see if they change their mind.

Factor in taxes and other fees. You still save $3000.

Unhaggle doesn't work too well with Japanese cars in my experience. Its probably because the markup is so low on them. I've found that the unhaggle price is likely just whatever number the sales manager at the dealer is willing to let the car go for(since they know they have a serious buyer). You will likely pay less than MSRP as that is what unhaggle is there for and hopefully you save more than $100 |

Not exactly on the very last day of the month. Go a few days before to see if the sales guy will bite.

Kind of hit or miss, but I found success in emailing for a quote. Through email there's no BS and is most direct. Just email around the lower mainland/fraser valley and bring the lowest price you find to your local dealer and see what they can do.

depends on the dealer manager really.
Especially if the car is a hot commodity and low inventory, some sales managers won't do deals from unhaggle.
