1994 Dodge 2500 Diesel Stolen My friend's brother's truck was stolen from South Burnaby (Rumble/McKay area, right outside their house) last night. Truck had anti-theft devices. ****STOLEN**** 1994 DODGE 2500 (3/4 TON) DIESEL GREY WITH LARGE WHITE CANOPY LICENCE PLATE BR 3930 Big, loud, can't miss it! Had 12' aluminum boat named "High Standard" on the roof as well. If you see the truck and boat please call the 911/POLICE ASAP Thank you!!! https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.n...89199756063d70 |
this thing is getting the engine pulled, or getting beat on at stave. when trucks go missing they often end up at stave if anyone has friends that are out there often have them keep their eyes open for it |
Thanks snails, I'll let her know. This isn't the first time it's been stolen (last time it was found in Surrey) so hopefully it gets found soon. |
Well, the last recorded whereabouts was heading EB on the Port Mann at 1:47am (only good use for tolling it so far). So my guess is chop shop is it's future :( |
Sorry to hear, hope they find castrate those responsible. Same colour that my 02 was. |
What kind of anti theft device did they have? Stolen from their residence? |
2 clubs and an alarm. Yea it was parked outside their house in the front (he normally parks out back but the boat is in the way) |
You can get through clubs? |
Apparently, I said the same thing. |
How does one utilize 2 clubs? |
I have no idea. All the info I've gotten is through her, I don't talk to her brother. Side by side maybe if the steering wheel is big enough? |

Maybe the other club can be used to block the gas pedal somehow. I've seen them used to block the shifter and ebrake in manual vehicles with a hand pull ebrake. Thieves can eat a fat bag of dicks. Hope it gets recovered. |

Okay so, apparently it's one of those steering wheels that has a top and bottom section, so one club goes on the top and the other goes on the bottom. https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.n...c5632619f2c1b4 |
clubs that connect to the steering wheel or on the steering wheel are some what pointless, they are just to scare those newb thief... usually the pros just hack saw the steering wheel and clubs comes right off... pedal jack in the pic above probably is a bit better but then a smart thief probably will use the hand brake to slow and stop the car... imo install a hidden kill switch and a alarm with gps tracking... this is how easy to get steering wheel lock out |

But at the end of the day, there's always a way for them to take it. |
Truck was found in Langley on a dead end road. Tools, tires, winch, chainsaw and boat were taken but everything else looks like it's there. Police just called my friend's brother to let him know. Thanks to anyone who kept their eyes open, it was appreciated! |
From what I read, that thing had a bit if engine work done to it - I guess they were in a rush. |
