Local place that sells custom hub centric rings?? Can't find anywhere. I believe its a custom size i need so the following places don't carry it.. 10/10 tires, Lordco, CT, etc. So is there a place locally that i can go have them made, or pick up at? Thanks in advance. |
NTW in Delta would probably have them Who We Are: National Tire Wholesale! |
Define custom? I've purchased them from Volco tire (now know has 1010tires) |

Tryed both of them already and nothing, thanks guys. SIZE I NEED IS 66.1 --> 64.1 |
|
I got my rings from Kal Tire in Port Moody. Size was 73.1 to 64.1. |
Have you tried running them yet? Such a small amount MAY not be anything to worry about. If it does wobble, I'd see if Panthers could machine something for you. |
As long as the wheel isn't sitting on the hub, the potential for wobble is the same. The other issue is debris/rust getting in between, preventing OEM wheels from mounting properly (without having to wire brush the mount surface). I haven't had any issues not running rings but I'm also diligent in having clean mounting surfaces, torqueing incrementally and using lugs with the correct seat. YMMV. |

Are you sure they're balanced? Have you tried swapping front to back? |
Yes they are balanced, front to back no good. |
Damn, what a pita then. |
i had a machinist made a custom set for me. the overall thickness is nothing special, but i needed them deep. |
I've special ordered a set now, thanks for the help. |
I have the thinnest hub centric rings in my wheels, so thin that they usually get bent(Squished) (Plastic or metal version) every 2nd tire change that they need replacement. They shake like hell when I foget them. |
!SG & E-SPEC, where did you get these from? |
nigels mechanist. for me, it was a bit of a treat. i got to use my drafting/engineering knowledge from way back when, you know, when we needed custom wooden wagon wheels. gave them the design, and had them made of high quality aluminum. had them for about 5 years now. still work great. basically the hub rings you can buy are only about 0.9cm thick, and whatever inner and outer diameter you need. (mine was for toyota to aftermarket 73.1mm) however, i needed more than 0.9cm thick. more like 7cm thick to clear the wheel center hub portion. cost was around $140 bucks for a set of 4 due to the higher grade material. |
