Anyone know why? | The Torque Wrench Industrial Complex needs to put in more hours and lobby those service advisors and mechanics harder.

Should tires lose air in storage?
I’m somewhat losing trust in my X-ICE 3’s since my whole debacle with Kal Tire etc.
Typically before I put them into storage I will ensure they are at the correct PSI while still ON the car. Then I’ll take them off and toss them in the garage. Last couple years I feel like they’ve lost pressure just sitting there which seems somewhat concerning. It’s not nitrogen or anything just regular air

Very progressive, very quiet, never lost control even with no ESP | I can't believe you drive the S2K in winter, you're a legend. Agree with the observations that the X-Ice 1/2/3 tires are not the greatest with slush (not enough tread void) but the Snow has more tread void so should be better.
I lose 5-6 lbs of pressure during storage typically unless there's other issues with the tire (puncture, leaky valve etc). The one on the bottom tends to the lose the most pressure.

The other day I received a tire pressure warning on our CX-5. Turns out it was a nail puncture, and I since I coincidentally had a service appointment already booked at Mazda for the next day, so I just asked them to fix it for me and it was $72! Lord on a ladder.
I remember back when, Kal Tire fixed tires for FREE.

I remember back when, Kal Tire fixed tires for FREE. | If this is Signature Mazda in Richmond - they're bleeding right now. The amount of ridiculous services and fees that they're charging is insane.
My coworker's 2017 Mazda 3 had a recommended (more like they tried to force) front brake pad service. They claimed the brake pad was sub 4mm. I had them inspect it instead of replacing... Surprise surprise. The pad grew 3mm LOL.
Another instance with a different vehicle, same thing. They claimed it needed replacement, it had 6mm remaining.

It was Morrey Mazda in North Van. I was charged the straight labour rate plus the cost of the plug and it worked out to $72.
I also paid $450 for rear brakes and machining rotors, $150 for the oil change/inspection, and $300 to have the drive belts replaced (since "apparently" they were cracked).
I know I overpaid for all of the above, and it's possible the belts were probably fine, and I could have had all of this work done for less money somewhere else, but I have zero time these days to spend on this stuff, so Mazda was just the easiest and closest.
Honestly I'm mostly upset about the $72! lol

$72 for a flat repair at the dealership doesn't seem out of line at all. Last year when I discovered a nail puncture on my 200TW tire, KalTire (@No 3 Road) charged me roughly the same amount for a patch and plug as well. The bill for the plug (ie. materials) alone was $30-something.
Eons ago, there have been times when they patch & plugged the tire for me for free, and there have been times when I was charged for the job as well -- something like $30+.

Plug should be around $20, patch is double usually.
