Driving backwards helps if you have weight on the rear axle, used to drop my roof down on the slk as the weight of the roof ends up on the rear axle. Also, a full tank of gas makes quite a difference in driving in the snow compared to a half tank.

I did it on a driveway up in the SFU apartments during a blizzard and there was a 90 degree turn on the driveway LOL. You just can't break momentum on a rear wheel drive going up the hill in the snow.

That's why I drive a big ass 4x4 now... I just have to worry on stopping :troll:

Edit: They test the tires against the Nokian R5 and the R5 beats them in the snow by about 10% - I'm not sure how many people would need the extra 10% of winter performance that an R5 has for our conditions. It's like needed a Pilot Sport Cup 2 for your DD.
