^^ 99% of direct systems just have the idiot light on the cluster. Some Acura (TL?) display actual pressures and a fair bit of domestic/Chevrolet’s do. Otherwise it just will illuminate the TPMS light if drops around 30% pressure compared to what parameters it has been written to.

My peasant trim level Jeep just has the idiot light, so I pulled the sensors out. It will bong quietly once and show the light briefly after ~12 minutes of driving, but then it goes away. I use it to judge how my commute has been going haha.

My taco showed individual pressure too until I noticed the LF wheel pressure jumped to RR wheel when it was snowing

I think the euros decided not to use sensor tpms here because it goes whacky in the snow.

I am happy my Jeep doesn't have TPMS sensor. That annoying light and sound will annoy the hell out of me. Especially when I air down to go offroading.

If I have the stereo on I don't notice it, the LED in the cluster would be easy to remove or if you can find someone with the right tool you can disable the TPMS entirely. If I got the pressure readings that the higher trim levels got I would keep it, but for an idiot light I won't bother. If anything I'd just get an aftermarket system that does give me actual readings.

Mazda CX-5 is indirect. I used to work as an apprentice at a Mazda dealer and my dad has one.

Which Lexus do you have? Newer models show actual readings now.

So I'm sitting here at 545am at Richmond Costco. They let in 4 walk ins and put up the sign saying they are all filled up. 52 appointments today.

Got the sensor for 77 bucks including taxes. The guy recommended I replace as needed instead of replacing all 5. Plus they are out of these tpms sensors, they won't get anymore in for a week or two.

Edit : scratch that , jay found some more sensors locked away in a cabinet.

Edit 2: appointments for Richmond are already till Dec 12.

RIchmond costco is actively telling people to go somewhere else to mount tires and they will still honor tread warranties.

That said, so glad I'm not working the tire machines lol

I personally wouldn't trust generic aftermarket TPMS sensors. I've seen too many issues with those. They seem fine at first until the light comes on later.
They also usually don't sit properly in the rim so there's a higher chance of it breaking the next time tire is dismounted if the guy doing it isn't careful.
Replacing one sensor may be fine at the moment but considering battery died on one, the others are probably on the way out as they're all the same age. Keep that in mind

GG costco.

Seems like no more appointments for tire installations for Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, Abbotsford, Langley, Willingdon, Vancouver and Port Coquitlam?

I was just there yesterday at Burnaby and got my steelies installed.

Prob their schedule is all packed with appointments haha.

Tire wise, yes they're a perfect fit. Considering it came off of the same model, I would say rims will fit as well.
