Burnaby Autobody shops

Hey Guys,

I recently scratched my right rear side door. I got a quote for $300 and another quote for $1294. I'm a new car owner and very noob in terms of what the average cost should be for damage like this. There is a very minor and shallow dent about the size of a quarter. Does anyone know any reasonably priced places in Burnaby? Planning on stopping by a few places to get some quotes. Thank you!

Morrey Autobody on Lougheed (and Gilmore?) does pretty good work.

1294.00 sounds right... Repair door, r&i belt moulding and handle, blend 1/4, replace clear decal r&i bumper r&i taillight r&i roof moulding

I just wanted to chime in on the price but sorry I do not know any good shops in burnaby

Are all of those things really necessary?

If it was icbc claim. Yea thats how much it would cost.
But for a private claim I would paint the door only.

yeah thats what I was thinking too...Does $300 seem too low? The shop is ICBC certified and it did look somewhat busy in there. Im just skeptical that he person isn't going to do a very good job...

$300 sounds very fair from an icbc accredited shop.
The repair and repaint looks straight forward from the pic.

For the best color match then they will need to blend the quarter panel. As for the r&i it is necessary to assist the paint for it not to peel in the future

VIP auto body. The owner of the shop is a member on here, TS14. Contact him for pricing. They did great work with the scratches on my truck!

Thank you, I'm going to talk to him a little bit more to see what exactly he's going to do.

I'd be skeptical about the $300

^ this. costs more than that to paint a bumper, much less repair and paint a door. like others mentioned, IF it were an icbc claim, you'd definitely blend the quarter. private though i usually won't put it down but i inform the customer that it may not be 100% depending on the color. looks like normal solid black though, easy color to match. good price is about 600, anything less i'd be a little skeptical. you get what you pay for
