"act of god" is actually a usable and legal terms in our legal system (in USA afaik). It's the pretty way to say "shit happened"

Act of god isn't synonymous with "shit happens" per say.

Its just how they classify stuff like natural disasters, and freak weather events.

Lightning strikes for example are considered an act of god. Same with hurricanes, or earthquakes.

last time I checked the weather, storm or not, didn't cause clean cuts to branches and saw dust everywhere......
