most on CL are around 230K+....if there tranny hasn't been replaced what is the likely hood it will need to be soon? i read there may be a recall on them?

no recalls will be done from this point pretty much

look for 05/06 v6 auto if you must, but those will fail eventually as well.

avoid 03/04 unless you want to pay for trans rebuild.

what's the cost of a rebuild?

i almost willing to take he risk and put the money into the car down the road....are they worth it?

the higher costs isn't in the budget right now but another couple grand down the line isn't completely out of the question...i know this seems like a stupid idea (just pay more now and get a better car but budget right now doesn't allow this)

i was looking at them....

i'm wanting the full leather package and luxury etc, those aren't as common in the 4 cyl. i looked at one today (thought it was a v6, add was wrong) and had the car been in good shape i definitely would have considered it

if i go cloth i'm just going to get a 4dr civic

also looked at a nice v6 one...nice clean paint and interior. car pulled to the right, i looked under the car and couldn't see any signs of damage, think it just needs an alignment. the tranny had oil on the underside...that's really my only concern with the whole car. what's above it that could possibly be leaking down or what seal on the tranny could it be??

i checked the tranny oil and it was a little on the lower side. all other fluids levels were good and looked good.

Could be trans input seal or even a valve cover gasket its hard to say until you really get under and have a look

well picked up an 03 v6 auto with 148K kms today, dark gray

beautiful shape. tranny repairs already done, timing belt done with a ton of other work. brand new brakes.

interior is in great shape. picked it up from a honda dealership so they didn't negotiate at all but comes with a 2 month 5000km warranty. i spotted an oil leak and told them to look into it (oil on the underside of the tranny, wanted to make sure that wasn't it). looks like it's leaking around the timing belt (not on) and possibly the rear main seal so both those leaks are getting fixed on their dime

other than that it's in great shape.....drives so much nicer than anything i've had before

nice, how much did you pick it up for?

I have a 2002, and trans has been slipping since 160,000. It's at 210,000 now.

$6K....sounds high but i don't need to touch anything on this car for a long time (fingers crossed).....new tires in a month or so (they're a little old)

those still with stock head units, what are you doing for bluetooth/telephone kits?

found this one and it looks sweet, just kind pricey: Bluetooth and iPhone/iPod/AUX Kits for Honda Accord 2003-2007 | GTA Car Kits

i have an "older" pioneer HU that's brand new, i need to check if it's BT but i highly doubt it

any other kits you guys can recommend?

so the dealership just fixed the rear main seal, water pump and timing belt tensioner all on warranty. they've also ordered me a new passenger heated seat switch

thanks westwood honda lol

anyone else have a slight movement in their driver side seat? like on acceleration or deceleration? they're telling me they'd have to swap out the whole seat....at that point they want to buy the car back lol

First post! Hey all, I'm really thinking about buying one of these car but I'm not to sure where to go with it though, what are the common issues with the car (if any) or is there apart that need regular maintinace? went Servicing Stop with my other car and spoke to them and they gave me abit more of an insight on these cars (they know me, been using them for years)
