Genuine Mazda RX8 Tokyo Roki oil filter: You want high quality oil filters for this high compression engine - however Honda here will give you Genuine Honda parts that are from the USA. Their USA oil filters just aren't as good as OEM parts from Honda - Also, because they don't have OEM s2000 parts, most of the time people will use Accord/Civic filters, which are smaller, that has less pressure.

Preventative maintenance:
AP2 Valve Cover & Valve Cover Gasket: AP1 Valve Cover has a tendency to lead to oil-blow by via the PCV valve during constant high speed right turns - AP2 VC is angled in a way to prevent that
AP2 PCV Valve
AP2 Retainers & Cotters: AP1 retainers is weaker than AP2s and can crack / drop into the cylinder causing catastrophic failure of the engine.
Valve Adjustment Done
Compression Test 215/220/225/220 PSI - signaling a very healthy engine.
