Bmw 740I

Whatsup Revscene im back and i just wanted you all to know i am so glad i bought this car it has treated me so well :) Good thing i didn't listen to the 50% of you who told me not to.
Any ways, when I bought it, it looked like this,
https://scontent-b-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/...ec&oe=551BDE26

Then after a few weeks i managed to get it looking like this,

https://scontent-a-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/...aa&oe=55000180

And now, after putting some real money into it, ive almost got it just how I want it :) Just need some coil overs! https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.n...fce3e0ad8b1352

https://scontent-a-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/...f4&oe=54D599A3

The one on the left belongs to my good buddy who is also an e38 Enthustiast, Mr.C ! Mine is on the right

https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.n...ef73ff84dd549f

Only problems ive had with the car so far, valve cover gaskets, did myself in an hour for 100$, and the abs computer, which is only costing me 200$ to repair. Louis vuttion interior is gone!! it is not black. And I love it. Haters gon hate. Lets hear what you have to say to the 16 year old who has no idea what he is talking about ;)

melloman 12-01-2014 12:19 PM

Goodjob.

At 16 years old, I hope you have a strong mechanical drive or a really good job and the willingness to let go of money. As time slowly passes and you put more kilometers on the car, you'll start running into the normal cost of maintenance for a "luxury" vehicle.

Probably why "the 50%" recommended to stay away, as many of us rather not deal with the costs of "luxury" vehicles.

Spoiler!

zyzzz 12-01-2014 12:48 PM

I am very mechanically inclined, have a very good paying job, and the thing already has 220.000 K and if my motor goes i plan on dropping a s62 M5 Engine into it :)

meme405 12-01-2014 01:25 PM

HOLY FUCK. COOL STORY BRO. DO PLEASE CONTINUE TO TELL US MORE.

Seriously, we gave you honest fucking advice, that most of us had wished somebody had told us, and just because you didn't like it, and you got lucky with your car you keep coming back and rubbing it in. Nobody fucking cares. If you want to post pictures of your car feel free. But we have a thread for that. If you want to just continue to gloat then why don't you just toddle off.

BTW the car does actually look really good. Well done bringing that thing back from the surrey trash it was.

The car has 220kms on it now?

You uploaded this picture back in May... so in 1000kms nothing has gone wrong...:suspicious::suspicious:

zyzzz 12-01-2014 01:50 PM

its actually got 245000 to be exact i just checked :) 220 was an estimate. And nope and i drive it like a bat flying out of hell.

zyzzz 12-01-2014 01:52 PM

LOL I just wanted to rub it in 1 more time, the bmw e38 is a great car thats why i was surprised with what you guys were saying. and thank you it means alot.

Your buddy has better taste in wheels. Meme405 took the words out of my mouth, except the last paragraph. You continue to sound ignorant.

MindBomber 12-01-2014 02:11 PM

The bragging and gloating really needs to stop, we only gave you honest advice based on our experiences.

Good work on bringing back the ride though.

Make a thread on an e38 forum showing your progress.... or your diy jobs...

Something like this Richardmozis's C55 - MBWorld.org Forums

If everyone was making their own threads about how good their cars were on 'Vancouver auto chat' it wouldn't be very pleasant...

tegra7 12-01-2014 02:36 PM

Those rims are ugly.

my car is best, bro.

ts14 12-01-2014 02:54 PM

Damn guys, way to lay on the hate. Kids just 16 lol. I thought this forum was all about supporting the love for the auto industry. So what if he bought a 7 series after majority told him not to, FCK I did the same thing and I don't regret it. I drove my share of bmws and benzs and half of them made me hate German cars but I still don't regret the experience of owning one. If he's lucky enough to get a good e38, than let him enjoy it. Yes his rims are kinda tacky but when I was 17, I was rolling around in a tahoe on 24s and to me it was the shit. Now I look back and shame myself for it but that's because my taste changed over time. Kids still young, no need to deter him from posting here where he can get some more advice and what not. Who knows if this car might be the 7 that ends up looking better than the rest of our cars

Keep up the good work bro, yes I have no doubt that u will run into issues sooner or later but don't mind asking away here.

Spoiler!

As far as I'm concerned, he's free to post in Vancouver Auto Chat until he can access Member Journals. He wouldn't be the first or the last to do that.

multicartual 12-01-2014 03:06 PM

When I was 17 I lived on my own, banged a lot of girls and drove an '82 RX-7 with a blown apex seal

Worked on a farm, mooooooooooooo

Big props to the cocky 17 year old with the BMW but shit man, you just drive a stock car with wheels, not much to brag about?!

edit: Oh, and if you want to pull a ton of chicks, hit the gym at your age, hard!

Mr.C 12-01-2014 03:11 PM

As I've already told you, it looks pretty fucking sick now, especially since you've ditched that shit LV headliner.

Here's a better shot of mine, that one up there is not too good:

StylinRed 12-01-2014 03:33 PM

i like all the rims posted in here except the one in the first pic /shrug

grats on enjoying the car! and share whatever you do to it!

twitchyzero 12-01-2014 03:38 PM

car looks incredible for a high school student's ride...i'd expected most 16 year olds would've kept the LV headliner/surrey chrome. Don't mind the haters and keep up the good work.

nsx042003 12-01-2014 03:42 PM

Lots of car for your first car. When i was 16 i was rolling in my parent's Echo.

asian_XL 12-01-2014 05:20 PM

It is weird for a 16 to drive a 7sers...
even I am 30ish now, driving my S-class and my dad's Alphard looks out of place.

Stop trying to fit in. You're still rolling around in a Surrey Jack-mobile.
