LF: Someone travelling to Japan

I'm looking for someone travelling to Japan in the next little while who can bring me back something from the duty free. Didn't buy enough the last time I was there and it turns out I'd like to have an extra bottle or two.

I'd be open to compensating you to bring it back.

Hibiki 12 or 17 year whisky

PM me if you're able to help. Thanks!

Yeah, thanks for the tip, but I'm looking specifically for Hibiki and Yamazaki, which hasn't been available in Canada so far this year.

You can find Hibiki 12 in Washington State fairly easily.

Yea you can get Hibiki down south. There's a few places here in SF and yes I've also heard about it being available in Washington. Not sure about Oregon though.

Uwajimaya in Bellevue has nice liquor section. Maybe call them and ask if they have Hibiki.

Hibiki and Yamazaki are their signature single malts. It shouldn't be that difficult! You dried BC Liquor Stores right? And private stores? How about online?

Neither are carried by BC Liquor, and Legacy Liquor told me Hibiki (specifically) didn't pass some Canadian standard for it to be sold here.

Suntory has no Canadian distribution. With the recent acquisition of Beam, hopefully that changes in the future.
