FAKE Samsung Note 4 on Craigslist Warning: there are many ads of selling a Samsung Note 4. He is still trying to sell them. This individual was tall, about 6ft, 150lbs, middle-eastern male who tried to sell me a fake one for $640. Nickname was "Jackson" and I met him in A&W in WaterFront Station at 7:30pm. He wanted to sell it fast. when buying high profile phones, cant people just meet up in those samsung or apple stores to compare the ones on the counter??? i am sure if they decline you can easily spot a fake.... |
Don't even bother buying used phones from Craigslist anymore. Not worth it. Either buy new or buy a cheaper phone like the one plus. |

disagree, for every 10 good people out there (or more) there is 1 person who does this. |

For BNIB or very new phones, I ask to meet at the manufacturer's store in order to check. I did this with anything over $300. It also boils down to how patient and legitimate they sound, based on their responses. |
when I bought my note2 used, I checked the following 1. Official Receipt to match the IMEI 2. check IMEI online International Numbering Plans, © 2001-2014 3. Antutu 4. For Samsung, I will access the hidden menu *#0*# |

^ your right, too good to be true |
I bet it's $775 (typo). |
here's an even better fake note 4. After i saw this vid, i decided not to bother looking for note 4s on CL, even if it was priced at over 600 |
well dont let this deter you... just need to be aware. The most common difference is the rear camera flash. And also check the IMEI |
actually, just to bump this up. Best way is put the phone in download mode and see if the model number for the phone shows up. If you don't see a download mode or if you see chinese characters, then it's fake Also, look for carrier apps (Bell/Telus/Rogers) to see if it's actually a real Canadian carrier phone That plus the S-pen should not have a chrome tip and it should have samsung logo |
