WOW!!! Big news ... Honda is switching back to their 2014 championship chassis.
2014 chassis + 2015 swingarm + 2015 Honda V4 motor + new exhaust and electronics = contention?
If the comfortable 2014 chassis helps great ... I think some of Marquez's crashes were rider error this year ... but if a more comfortable chassis that he is more confident on helps than awesome ... will be great to see another contender this year....

Dunno man, he's too far behind for contention and I don't see Lorenzo losing it especially when he's dialled in like he has been the last 4. None of the last 4 felt even remotely close wins. :/
Noir - I totally agree. It would not only require a remarkable run by Marquez but a catastrophic collapse by Rossi and Lorenzo, which isn't going to happen.

Lets see if MM can keep his winning streak in Germany alive he hasn't lost a race since 2009.
125cc class in 2010
Moto2 in 2011 and 2012
MotoGP victories for the last two seasons.
Recap of last years race
Skip to 1:58 to see the weird start with majority of the bikes starting from the pit lane.
Wow - what a track! First time I have watched an event from Germany.
Thoughts :
-incredibly short, small, tight track... very technical (but lots of runoff) at Sachsenring.
-7 left hand turns ... almost entirely left hand turns!!! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sachsenring
-lots of discussion on BT Sport before the race about the special tires constructed for this event that had softer right shoulders to compensate for the fact that due to the lack of right turns the right side of the tires get very cold and tend to wash out when they do get used...
-Marquez's Honda looks great - on the surface, reverting to the 2014 chassis might have been the best thing that they could have done! Commentator's caution though that this track has always suited the Honda and not to read too much into Marquez's dominant performance....
-92k in attendance ... another huge crowd
-Honda 1-2 finish
-Rossi finishes third and increases his lead on Lorenzo, who finished fourth

Very interesting video...... the parallels between F1 in the US and MotoGP are growing ... for a sport to thrive in the US (not really unlike anywhere else), you need domestic stars. You don't get TV deals, sponsorship dollars, or a broader spectrum of fans attending without domestic contenders.

Well ... Rossi wasn't able to convert that great qualifying position into a win. He had a tough start and had to battle to put himself into a position that would enable him to chase Marquez and Lorenzo but by the time he got himself into third position he was already 5 seconds behind Marquez. The event lacked a ton of drama and not surprisingly it finished Lorenzo, Marquez and Rossi....
Rossi : "If I'm going to win the championship ... I'v got to win races..."
With Marquez looking like Marquez since switching back to the 2014 chassis and with Lorenzo looking dominant, it looks more and more like the championship is slipping away from Rossi.
