Coilovers install recommendation

Place and how much should I expect to pay? It's for an older miata. Thanks.

Garage five, they installed my coilovers. Professional and easy to deal with.

Chikara Motorsports
- you can't go wrong with Chikara when it comes to Miatas
- downside -- they are a tad on the expensive side

HBL Autosports
- top quality work -- owner is very meticulous about the work that get done at his shop
- owner has a nicely modified NA himself, so he knows what he is doing with Miatas

Coilover install isint some crazy hard process, any shop should be able to do it for you without issues, just be consciouss of rubbing if you lower it too low (and depending on what size wheels/tires youre running).
TBH I'd do it myself and save the $100.

Installing coilovers on a rusty old miata would probably be more than $100 as well.

If you have ever done brakes, or even changed your tires you are more than capable of doing coils with some basic pictures or guidance. Hell even without it you might be able to just figure it out.

No because you are removing the entire assembly and replacing it with a coilover.

You only need a spring compressor if you want to do lowering springs, cause then you actually have to pull the spring off and replace it with another one.

Yeah, depends on the particular setup you get. Some incl. top mount, some don't.

Yeah agreed with some above -

if you have the space and time do try it yourself. My first coilover job was actually on a miata, its quite straightforward. Just make sure you put the removed bolts in the same order on a peice of tape or something, so you don't get confused later. Make sure you torque everything down with a torque wrench to spec. Then take it to an alignment shop when youre done
