From when I took over the Element till now, it has about $3k invested in it up to this point. Don't really intend on doing anything much more, maybe a new set of wheels if I get bored. There's just some leftover minor details I want to do before I "finish" with the car.

That guy is pretty well known in the modified Element circle, has a bunch of OEM JDM parts including those headlights which are OEM JDM Element headlights with a few different things like parking lights built in and HIDs from factory that we didn't get with our USDM Elements.

Driving a slammed car is a right of passage with this hobby. Everyone needs to do it at least once lol.
Teaches you how to avoid bumbs, which ones are safe, how to approach driveways etc.
Not to mention it forces you to come up with fun new swear words when you do smash an unseen bump, all the while wondering what you may have damaged in the process |

I drove a buddies VI-bait Soarer to and from a show once, stupid thing scraped on manhole covers all the way down, at first I tried to be cautious but then I realized there was no way to avoid scraping that stupid thing. It's not half as bad once you stop giving a fuck about the noises.

Lol the best is how you lift your ass off the seat as if it takes enough weight off of your car to allow the suspension to decompress enough to clear the bump. Unfortunately, science has proved this ineffective.

The worst is when you're doing a solid 60+km/H and hit a spot in the road with deep ruts from the heavy tractor trailers and your car has a sudden and terrible impact with "rut mountain" followed by a loud painful grinding that lasts many yards.
Mainly an Alberta problem I would think.. but damn it sucks.
I also like when you're driving with some noob passenger and do the whole 45 degree approach over a speed bump and still grind.. they just look at you like "what's the point if you still grind" not understanding the severity of the consequences of a straight on approach.
Another classic, you're with noob passenger leaving a parking lot and take the longest possible route out, and they're like "you're going the wrong way" when in reality you're just looking for the only angle of approach acceptable for your car :s
People just don't understand how hard life is when you have limited ground clearance The GT3 front overhand is terrible, good thing the front lips are 300$ disposables.

Equally ineffective is coughing when you know it is inevitable in a failed attempt to mask the sound of the scrape so you don't get the umpteenth eyeroll and headshake from your spouse in the passenger seat. |

I drove my mom and relatives from HK to Lynn Valley once, we got stuck on a speedbump and I had to ask them all to get out of the car. My mom said "so lame" in cantonese as they all got out of the car =(
