Yes, the other wheels are better but beauty is in the eye of the beholder lol
Don't get me wrong, Vossen wheels look fine. They wouldn't have gotten so popular, if they didnt look the part.
The problem with that is that every idiot and his mother now has vossens on their ride. And the fact that they only make monoblock wheels limits their designs, so you end up getting a ton of people who's cars just look the same.
Your car is obviously an exception given that not many people are modifying vans, but you only need to look as far as audi's or G37's to realize that it gets tiresome seeing the same combination on every car.

This stems from the fact that he gets them for almost nothing, otherwise I'm sure he would have moved on to other wheels by now (he will refute this, but that's how it works with sponsors). If they gave me free wheels I might shut the fuck up and rock them as well. (Side note one wheel company did actually offer me a set of wheels for VERY cheap, but I said no).
My other problem with Vossen is this perception that they are high end wheels, when in fact they are just cheap cast wheels. Vossen does a fantastic job at marketing the shit out of their product, and people that don't know fuck all think that Vossens are high end cause they see them on GTR's and MB's. Vossen does such a good job at marketing these wheels that they can charge forged wheel prices for their Cast wheels.
The reason why this irks me, is gonna sound ridiculously bitter, and it is to a degree. But that perception that a set of 3k Vossens are high end whereas hardly any regular person will recognize my 10k HRE's. I mean don't get me wrong I didn't buy HRE's for others. I bought them cause flat out I love everything about the brand, and since I bought mine I love everything about them even more. But believe me it does eventually get tiresome at carshows hearing all this talk about Vossen when I just don't see the hype.
I mean you only need to look as far as Niche, STR, etc. To see that they are making wheels that look identical, in fact the wheels came out of the exact same factory, cause Vossen doesn't actually build their own wheels.
Anyway /end rant.
Spoiler!
Oh and I bought my HRE's used, most people know this, no I didn't spend 10k on wheels. As arrogant or w/e as my message above might come off, I'm usually not one who cares about $ figures, its all about what you can do with what you have.
Too bad it isn't about flipping cars to lose money, I'm really good at that.

"Then again genital warts are better than Vossens IMO. "
No need to make these kind of comments if you don't like vossens!
I can say whatever I like about what I consider a crappy brand. You better get used to comments like this cause for every 5 people that like em, you will get 1 that hates em.
Aside from that I think your car looks fantastic, including the wheels, I never said otherwise.

Am I the only one that doesn't give two shits about "high end" wheels? As long as they're round and not a safety hazard nearly everyone is simply paying for a design or a name. Not many people care about being completely unique, if you think no two vehicles should look alike then that's your problem, not the owners. If everyone did care about trying to be completely unique we'd be seeing a lot more of the shit normally saved for the Hall of Shame.

Haha when you said round, this popped up in my head.

up to this point, you seemed like a pretty normal dude.. then you post that. about people not recognizing your expensive ass wheels.
if there's anyone you should be trying to impress, it should be enthusiasts, not the regular person. you know, the same enthusiasts who will recognize that you have old wheels, likely from 05/06 and that iForged also had the same design for cheaper.

No need to be so harsh and anal about something like brands.. You will always find people who like to have higher end brands on their car, and people who will have cheaper parts on their car. Depends on what you're doing and where you're going with your mods imo, I have some slightly pricier parts on my Z like volks, bride and whatever just because that's the way I want to go with the Z. My other cars on the other hand that I just daily on the street and don't do much else with I have lip kits off ebay, rotas wheels, whatever just to make it look good without blowing a ton of money.
Bottom line, not everyone has 10k to spend on wheels and not everyone needs to. If you do have the money and the taste, good for you (no sarcasm intended). But not everyone has the luxury to do so
If you get a bunch of expensive stuff to impress people, I think you'll only be impressing a small part of the car community over here lol. The number of people who have cheap mods on their car heavily outnumbers the people who have baller setups
I like genuine wheels but the majority of the market can't afford them or has other priorities. I've tried to sell genuine wheels in the past and it always took forever. (Volk TE37, Weds Kranze Rapier, Weds Kranze Cerberus II, etc) Most people just want the look.
See my Volk CE28 reps for sale in my sig (Shameless plug!)

ive never cared about real vs fake because i care more about how the car looks to me than how expensive it looks to others. my whsiters for example i preffer over the reall ccw's because i think the single piece wheel looks alot cleaner than a 2/3 piece wheel
i understand that some people hate "ricer" shit, and honestly i along with others have opinions. people can have opinions on my cars all they want and i will have mine of course.. but if its just coming down to a brand? thats a little overkill
ps, meme405 i still you dw
