Oooh, burn. :troll: |
https://i.imgur.com/2gbwzgVl.png Currently drinking this from Agro on my Moccamaster (still using the Hario Skerton, getting an arm workout every morning). Very interesting flavor profile, juicy and tart with some funk. |

idrinkcoffee.com is having BF sale. No tax on most items and a decent discount on some accessories. Sure it's from ON so it's just 5% tax... but still saving nonetheless. |
Just received the same bag from Agro on Tuesday! Haven't opened it yet as we are finishing up our Peru single origin. Interested to try it out, never used Red Honey beans. Supposedly much more sustainable than wet processed/washed beans. Going to be using it for pour overs in the morning. |
Anyone know a good brand for vietnamese coffee? I tried trung-nguyen and it didnt taste the same |

Talescoffee.ca is having a 50% off Black Friday sale on their beans. Free pick up available at Faebrew in Richmond. Heightscoffee.ca is having a BOGO sale on their "Triple Crown" bag of beans with promo code "241TRIPLE". They're a local roaster in Burnaby Heights. Paragon Tea Room is also having an up to 40% off sale on their stuff. Their hojicha oat milk latte is so good! |
to add to the BF sales. Monogram has a pretty good deal for their subscription service. $27 for 3 bags on the first two subscription orders. |
Guy at work gave me some oat milk told me to make a latte with it, Home made was nasty lol I’ve moved into milk/baileys lattes or Eggnog lattes these weekends lol This bean sales are tempting. Ch28 have you had the triple crown beans? I could go in there today if they are any good. |
Also wondering on the Triple Crown Beans? Anyone ever tried them? |

Haven't tried Tales, but just surfing the website annoys me so much that I likely would never buy their coffee. It's all marketing fluff. |
Is Tales Coffee the same as Coffee & Tales in Hong Kong? The sites look similar. I have ordered from many of their roasters individually, maybe I should have just started a subscription! WutFace |

Question for the coffee junkies: I just started drinking coffee a month ago(black only) xl from tims. I also have just purchased a keurig. To get the equivalent taste and caffeine of 24oz xl. Should I do 2kcups at 12oz each? Or will that be too strong? I have the keurig Supreme plus which also does strength options, so don't know how that effects the brew. |
I find those cups to be like water compared to any sort of drip setup. So I’m sure you’d be fine with 2 Tim’s in house uses those stand up machines which pump a tonne of heat and pressure through so you’re probably getting about as much caffeine as possible out of their coffees |
Moccamaster 59691 10-Cup Coffee Brewer with Glass Carafe, Brushed Silver Moccamaster 79212 8-Cup Coffee Brewer with Thermal Carafe, Polished Silver Moccamasters on a (slight) sale if anyone wants a great drip coffee maker. I've been very happy with mine, and would recommend it if anyone wants a machine that will last 10+ years with daily use. |
Not to discredit roastpuff for sharing, but be careful ordering the ones from Amazon. I ordered one a few weeks ago, and the box was destroyed and evidently pre-used/pre-owned. They may be shipping out used/returned units out again. |
Yikes, that sucks that Amazon would advertise these as new. But then again it's Amazon. :ohgodwhy: |
Finally was able to get into my Agro Honduras Red Honey beans. Really tasty stuff - quite smooth with a bit of fruityness. I don't pick up the chocolate tasting notes as much. Overall a quality bean. |
I just came back from the US (flew down, drove back, currently self-isolating in my guest room to avoid contact with kids/wife), and while passing through Portland, I intended to grab some Stumptown as I usually do. It was all closed by the time I arrived. No biggie, local fancy grocers always carry some in their "local" sections. I went in, lo and behold... a worker putting stickers for a whole section of Stumptown beans on clearance. I asked why and he said to make space for their new shipment the next few days. I checked the dates, roasted near the end of Nov (between 22-25 to be exact), and barely 2wks old... my usual sweet spot for beans anyway. Usually if I go into Stumptown location itself, they are often a few days post-roast, which I'd wait until about 2wks mark as I found them tasting the best at that time. So, grabbed 4 bags at a whopping 70% off (13.99 regular). |

Still blooming really well, stored in an Airscape container. |

All their beans seemingly have berry notes which I generally find means high acidity. |
